  1. She stabbed Ruin as he stood by Rashek's side, shutting Alendi the heck up.
  2. Don't forget Shallan's remaining family. They'll probably be an irritation that shows up at an important moment to This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules HERO!? her.
  3. We're going to get at least one Jasnah flashback/backstory moment. Anybody remember her bitter mumblings after killing the thugs in the alley? "Men like those"? We're probably going to get some of that later on.
  4. Heartbeats in general seem to be an important measurement. In Mistborn (And likely other books I don't have on hand ATM) heartbeats aren't mentioned as a measurement at all, and yet in Way of Kings Sanderson makes a point to measure time in heartbeats, which could just be their relevance but could also be something else. Sitting by Kaladin's bedside, he waits a hundred heartbeats to leave. Shallan waits a similar amount of time and makes similar wait times. Just something I noticed.
  5. Only use iron and steel together. Same applies for pushes and pulls.
  6. Forge yourself extra past, turning yourself into the future version of yourself.
  7. It's actually just Ham musing aloud to Elend about how most thugs think pewter adds on, and yet somehow Vin can still kick his trash with her tiny build.
  8. The problem with the speed is twofold: One: You're going so fast you'll probably pull your own arms off. Unlike Pewter, steel doesn't give you balance. Two: You'd better get that spike on the first run, or the Inquisitor will figure out what's going on and you'll lose the vital element of surprise
  9. Wait a second, just remembered something. Where in the book did it mention headshots killing bloodmakers? I'm pretty sure Ranette was stumped on how to kill them, so I'm guessing all above arguments are correct about being able to heal it.

    Pewter

We can't really be exact on this unfortunately, and the ever-shifting power levels of allomancy make that even harder. Vin, Ham, Kelsier and Tarson would all get different increases of strength thanks to their investure differences. I don't think there's a definitive way to tell without a Q&A.
  11. The trick is to be tapping healing at such an absurd rate that either the wound heals before the bullet can even make it through or quickly and powerfully enough to avoid shutdown. I imagine Miles' constant tapping of gold has something to do with his ability to survive headshots. Maybe a savant thing, maybe the fact that he doesn't pause to freak out after being shot due to the lack of pain, who knows?
  12. Wow. Lemmingborn?
  13. An inquisitor's ability to use gold is slightly screwy thanks to being hemalurgically granted, though I feel it's pretty safe to say that an explosion would probably kill them if it was big enough and a headstab/shot wouldn't.
  14. Huh, that would make the wall painting have a rather cool double meaning. Falling into a pool, flying through a portal. Always another secret...
  15. We've already seen how more power penetrates the body's investment better, so I'm still sticking with the idea that more investment would fade the already trace lines out even more, making you far less visible, if not invisible to the inquisitors.
  16. Better yet: Forge the dishes dirty after cleaning... Heck, forge them to be unforged and see what happens...
  17. Less useless, more epic. When faced with two choices, pick one, and then a few years down the road stamp yourself to see what kind of person you could have been if you had picked differently.
  18. I'd probably go for either chromium or nicrosil, probably nicrosil for added punch when their tin explodes. As a ferring the only real option I have is to go for steel and make a grab for the linchpin. None of the other abilities are very helpful.... !!!!! Inquisitors have extra iron/steel, which is the only way they can see metals in the body. Otherwise, the investment in it would block out the metal signals. Ergo, if you stored investure and then tapped it while fighting an inquisitor......you'd be invisible to it. Granted, they could try to listen with tin, but now they can't see you and will likely be wierded out at not being able to. I love it. Twinborn nicroburst and soulbearer. All the way.
  19. As delightfully well desribed as it is, it feels a tad overdone. I can see if pulling some people in, but a bit of toning down could possibly be in order. A brief and grabby opening I suppose. How much I like it depends entirely on what follows afterwards, but it'll keep me at least until the next line. And a segment of the opening epigraph, which probably counts as a first line.
  20. Huh, not a bad opening all things considered.
  21. Very good. Very good! Kind of eerily astounding how much lower Scadrial's total planetary population was with only the poles hospitable and who knows how much death. Like Darnam, I'm impressed.

    Copper Stunts

The bit about blocking emotional allomancy is wierd. It seems that the mere act of burning it will shield you, and the cloud itself blocks allomancy. How that works is lost on me.

    Which realm?

Zinc and Brass work in both physical and cognitive presumeably. Copper and Bronze are spiritual and cognitive if I have to guess. Spiritual energy is used and makes impacts in the cognitive, which are then observer or hidden by the mistings.

    Copper Stunts

I highly doubt it. Though it's normal for founding rules to be broken, copper only seems to block detection and if it blocked Bendalloy I'm pretty sure we'd here about it from Wax and Wayne. It's exactly the kind of thing they would mention back in the hideout fight, where Wax notes that Wayne has trouble with thugs.

    Copper Stunts

We're not sure if that's possible, since we don't really understand how copper works. It's quite possible that it only masks detection and not the actual ability. The others are cool though.
