After reading Oathbringer chapters 10-11, I think Elhokar will be the interlude novella

Maybe in a short one like that Zahel/Vasher interlude in WoR would be cool. A cool scene for new readers and an easter egg for cosmere diehards.

Yes I'm doing another one of these. My old thread died so I'm doing it again. What kind of character do you want in an interlude? And who do you think will be Oathbringer's interlude character? I reckon the interlude character for Oathbringer will be Jasnah. It might show her with Hoid as she travels to Urithiru.

I may as well throw in my 2 cents. I only read the chapters yesterday, and the murder really intrigued me. The rifts between Adolin and his family that may happen because of this will make for some juicy reading . That said, I don't think the copycat murderer is Ialai. That is the dominant theory, but it just seems to obvious to me. When I read the scene, I was somehow reminded of the murders in The Rithmatist. A series of strange murders that were done by a person that nobody suspected. I also believe that there will be more murders. Just 1 copy isn't enough. I don't think I really got anywhere with this post...

Thx for all the attention this thread has been getting! I've loved reading the conversation, and its making me even more excited for what Oathbringer has in store for us. At least I finally started the Reckoners, so that will keep me occupied for a bit...

Just clarifying, the Recreance happened after the Heralds abandoned the oathpact, right?

That WoB may actually mean that Taln started the desolations again when he came back to Roshar. All the Heralds would be on Roshar While we are on the subject, how did Taln escape?

I agree that it is likely to do with the Heralds abandoning the Oathpact, but I feel like there is something else. The Braize idea makes sense. I still feel like we are missing something...

We always talk about what happened to the spren when the Radiants broke their oaths. But I feel like we never talk about what is, in my opinion, the biggest question in the series. Why did the Radiants break their oaths? What happened that was so monumental, the orders had to give up everything they were? I suspect we will find out over the next few books. But I'd like to see what people think.

I agree with this. There will definitely be a Gavilar one, it would be stupid not to. Nalan seems a good idea as well.

Perhaps he is called the Broken One because of the deaths he has caused. Doesn't make too much sense but it's always what I thought.

Does anyone know why they have such similar names? It just seems weird to me. Was Treledees named after one of the 5 scholars (as in Denth)? This just always stood out to me, and I'm wondering if there is an explanation. Cheers

Most of my theories have been mentioned, but I also have these 1. The 17th shard will make some more appearances 2. We find out more about Tara 3. The stone shamans will attempt to stop the KR Just some bad theories XD

Yeah, I guess. It just seems so weird that Atium and Malatium seem to link to Gold and Electrum much better than Bendalloy and Cadmium do.

OK, people are probably going to just write this off. But I had a small question. In Era 2, Atium and Malatium were taken out, and 4 new metals were put in. However, this means that the temporal metals are now gold, electrum, bendalloy and cadmium. Bendalloy and cadmium have very different abilities than gold and electrum. And all the other pairings are for the most part, opposites. The opposite of gold and electrum have already been discover in Era 2, so it stands to reason that bendalloy and cadmium are NOT part of the same set. I propose this: there are 2 other metals. They create speed bubbles around someone else. Gold and electrum are actually part of a different 16, being paired with atium and malatium. Thoughts?

I don't know what order yet (we don't know what they all do), but I would definitely be a Surgebinder.
