The Closing Ceremonies "And so that's it for another summer Olympics. It really was the strangest 2 weeks, wasn't it?" "And yet we still saw some absolutely fantastic performances from the various athletes. We saw underdogs rise, champions exceed anything done before, and so much more. We also saw quite a few embarrassments, and an odd number of athletes crossing between different types of events." "We even had a few scandals here and there. But most importantly, we got to see some amazing athletes do some amazing things. Remember, even the very worst of the athletes here has worked extremely hard to be here, and is far better than most of us can ever hope to be. Truly incredible stuff. I mean honestly, pulling your tendon by slipping on a banana when you go to throw the Javelin? Honestly that poor Gorilla." "Of course Mouse absolutely destroyed the competition, and won the finals for Table Tennis. Weirdly enough, Vulture of gymnastics fame showed up and had an excellent showing as well. They were by far the favorite to win the whole thing. And don't even get me started on Beige Platypus coming out of nowhere for an underdog bronze medal simply because most of the other athletes didn't participate in all four events." "You didn't even mention the fact that a non-gymnast managed to win the floor routine. Like... how? They performed one of the most difficult routines we saw yesterday, utterly flawlessly and completely flabbergasted the judges." "This is turning out to be a very odd Olympics. "The wrestling was also pretty intense. Toucan was always the favorite to win, but they only pulled out that win by a scrape. Made for an excellent match to watch though.
