  1. Araris, you're correct I haven't posted yet this game. There are reasons for my inactivity, but basically it comes down to me being slack and lazy. You can lynch me if you wish, but I've only had small back and forths with Alvron and Phattemer, so doing so would give you next to no information. As it is, either everyone is like me and feeling a bit behind the eight ball with all the complex mechanics, or there is a mass of scheming going on behind the scenes, either way, not good for the village. The collective thrive on open discussion, not back play.
  2. Sign me up friend. Sheol is a traditionalist when it comes to the metallic arts. As a man in touch with his Skaa heritage, he has a healthy distaste for the powers that enslaved and suppressed his people. Once, his aversion had led him to preaching abstinence and celibacy to those who were born with the perverse magics of Scadrial, even though the practice left him as an outcast. Now it seems these powers may be the key to their survival. What a headache.
  3. Ding ding ding! Take it away ccstat.
  4. Not Kingsmen. hint: A dental practitioner suffers the wrath of this young man. Hint 2: The sound track is a prominent part of this movie.
  5. Hehe, who doesn't want a water park for their birthday? Alrighty, A rather hungry villain tempts a recently de-orphaned young man, to commit vile crimes, using promises of fame, money and love. Edit: The De-orphaned part is in the original, don't think it was included in the movie version though.
  6. Sounds like a pretty groovy movie to me Emperor's New Groove?
  7. I haven't thought of one yet, so it's all yours
  8. Do they go on to fly, and see a whole new world? (Aladdin)
  9. Thank you Hero, this was a new and interesting take that I think worked really well. My vote for MVP, as well as Meta's I'm assuming is going to Kas. Of what I saw when I was in his rooms, 90% of his analysis was spot on when it came to suspicions and nailing down suspects, and combining that with his cryptologist role, you've got one hell of an impact player for team Steven. Well played and thank you everyone, I'll be seeing you next game, which I assume will be starting soon?
  10. Hondren has an incredible aptitude for diagnosis. This stretches from physical to mental to imagined ailments and his talent has given him a reputation as something of a doctor among the other Aspects. By no means however could he begin to treat his 'patients' but at least he can tell them what they've got.
  11. Not to give a foot hold to Vine's delightful final message to us all, but I am a little frustrated be the exclusivity of the shard group. At the moment the general vibe seems to be just to sit back and let the shards do whatever they feel is best, which I guess has some merit, but is also reeeaaalllyyyy boring. So onwards with the accusations. Nalthis being destroyed is quite interesting. Sure it could be possible for a worldhopper to have destroyed it just to shake things up a bit, but after having a look at the inhabitants of that world, it seems more likely to me that there were a number of OC's on there, and they wanted to branch out. I think it's particularly likely since Mailli (Odium) was the first to bring up the option. "The world freezing idea is a good one, it's just that the less populated planets will be more easily manipulated if there is an OC on that planet. The Unmade could also throw a wrench into this plan if they destroy one of the groups." #269 'A Game of Shards'. Of those on that world (Luckat, Gamma, Peng, twelfth, and dowanx), Gramps has had my attention for quite a while, and I'm still not willing to look past Peng. That brings us to the new inclusion, Downax. With the recent information about shard collaboration and proven innocents etc, I had a look back over the moments where innocents were targeted and as such was drawn to the the day 2 lynch where Winter was in a precarious situation. Working off the assumption that Winter is innocent because she is a shard, that would make her a definite target for the OC's, and with her information reveals going on at the time, it wouldn't have taken too much imagination to identify, or at least suspect, her role. That brings me to some vote tallys. This one from halfway through the cycle Meta (2)--twelfth, Sarc Sarc (2)--Meta, vineyarddawg Winter (2)--ArarVal, Dowanx Clanky (2)--Panda, Gamma Swalji09 (1)--Aonar AntMax (1)--ostrich Tulir (1)--Clanky And the final tally Clanky(5): Panda, Gamma, Mckeedee, Snoopy Winter Cloud(3): Araris Valerian, Dowanx, Mailliw Sarcomere (2): Metacognition, Unodus Swalji09 (1): Aonar Faileas Antiller Maximus(1): OstrichofEvil Tulir(1): Clanky This looks to me like eliminators trying to keep their options open. Note that none of them put the first vote on anyone, rather they followed on the back of someone else's logic in order to avoid suspicion if it came under closer scrutiny. I'm guessing the votes didn't go quite the way they would have liked, but since Clanky was a villager anyway, they didn't risk rocking the boat to go after a more influential player. Then I had a look at the Day 3 Vote tally. Antillar Maximus(10):Vineyarddawg, Eolhondras, Tulir, Feligon, Ostrichofevil, swalji09, winter cloud, Gamma Fiend, Unodus Vineyarddawg(5): Mailliw73, Dowanx, JasonPenguin, leiftinspace, Antillar Maximus Winter Cloud(1): Bort Sarcomere(1): Metacognition The way I find them grouped is to consistent for me to pass it off as coincidence. In this case, they would be voting for a doomed team mate to avoid suspicion, but also gain some credibility by being able to say they voted for the eliminator. As well as all of this Cultivation was nice enough to put me in a PM with Dowanx and Sarcomere some time ago. It has since gone quiet but in my reflection of other matters things began to stick out to me. Dowanx was the most vocal in our little group, however he was only vocal about one thing. He reiterated over and over his suspicion of Winter, and was prompting myself and Sarc about our thoughts on the matter. As I've said before, Winter, at the time, was likely a high priority target, and it would make sense to sew some seeds and go after her. As a result Dowanx, you have my full attention, and hopefully that of some others as well. tl:dr - OC conspiracies. Vote for Pedro (Dowanx)
  12. Antillar Maximus. I don’t doubt you Big Dawg. I might be swayed by an incredible response, but I doubt it. As you said, you have been trying to get information about how a witness would act, and the only real reason raised for a fake claim would be to threat kill and experienced player. If you had implicated Meta/Gamma/Mailli/Aonar/Jain I might be a bit more suspicious, but for now I have faith. The names that I wanted to bring up this day turn were Bort and Peng. Peng for obvious reasons. The village has honour, so it would make sense to balance that with lifeless operators for the eliminators. Not only that, but he has had nothing to say against those who would have seen him dead, despite being online to post things like “Thanks Devotion J”. Distinctly unhelpful. I’d like to hear something from you mate. Doesn’t even have to be an essay, but at least tell all these nasty people that want your head to storm off, and mind their own storming business. Bort on the other hand has seen none of the spotlight so far. His first action was to put a poke vote on me, supposedly to complete a circle, but I have a feeling there were more sinister thoughts at play. As a first time player, first time eliminator, being called out on the first day must have been an alarming experience so what else could he do but lash out viciously in self-defence! Suspicious. Very suspicious. In addition, after putting his support behind a plan that has been acknowledged as risky, literally an hour later, that support is withdrawn. But why you ask? So do I… Bort? Edit: You/Your/You're
  13. Care to elaborate? Unless you've discovered a loophole, Cultivation is the reason we had a lynch at the end of the day cycle and therefore must have been online... Please explain? IF we go ahead with that plan, which by no means has been agreed upon, why on earth would we do it almost halfway though a night cycle? We would have only 14 hours to have that whole (rushed) discussion before one of the shards could be shattered. Start at the beginning of a day cycle and we have 72 hours to work out all the kinks.
  14. I don't like that I seem to be becoming a common voice of discord, so I'll start by saying Twei, I agree, we should freeze the worlds as they are. I think it would do much to aid our cause, and is one of our best weapons to find eliminators. As it stands now, with the assumed random placement of OCs, we have the possibility for a number of positive things to have happened. As stated, there is the possibility of a world that has no OCs. This works in our favour as you have essentially created a group of players that, under the right circumstances, could form an alliance and work together away from the prying eyes of Odiums Worldhopping Delinquents. In terms of forming trust, we don't have a sure fire scanner role, but all the shards and the awakener/s can use their roles to get some kind of idea about the allegiances of the others in their group. (Any other suggestions here are most welcome) The most powerful tool we have at our disposal however is discussion. See how people stand up under scrutiny. Converse and gauge reactions about things that happen in the game. Anything that might put an eliminator in a position where they have to lie, or are forced to try and manipulate. This is by no means a quick fix and will take some time, but since this is a long game, I'm going to go out on a whim and say that we have some time to play with. Next possibility is that an experienced village player may be in a group with an inexperienced OC. In no way do I mean to insult the intelligence of newer players, (which includes myself) but in the two games that I have played previously, I have been fooled more times than I care to count. As such, if I found myself as a Champ, or one of my newer team mates in a group with Meta for example, I would be jumping at the first chance to get myself/my team mate out of there. I'm not saying we definitely have such a match up, just that if we allow movement between worlds, we certainly won't. Finally I find myself whipping Wilson's (hopefully not quite) dead horse. These smaller groups allow us to focus on a pocket of people rather than trying to sift through information on the whole 28 other players. Where Wilson and Claincey's PM groups failed largely due to well founded fears about dubious overseeings, these world groups have a chance of succeeding. Essentially I propose that we become personally responsible for the investigation of the others in our groups. Anything you find suspicious can then be brought to the thread for general discussion and cross checked against everything else that is being said. This all comes back to Meta's point with the ruin kills. We NEED to have the OC's talking. The more we can force them to talk, the more corners we can force them to lie or manipulate their way out of danger. The more lies they have to tell, the better chance we have of catching them in one.
  15. Round and round and round in circles. The only sure fire way to see how it would play out is if we actually did it, and that to me is too much of a risk.
