I’ve been reading this series on and off for a couple years and am currently on the 6th book (no spoilers please, I’ve tried to avoid reading other thread titles in this forum lol). I have been collecting the books in trade paperback format and when I went to order a new one, I noticed there’s a logo on the covers now advertising the Amazon tv show.

My question is…is this emblem actually embedded in the print or is it a sticker? Looks like this is a 2020 reprint from the publisher but I’m not having much luck figuring out if that logo it permanent. If it’s not a sticker that’s a bummer, and I’ll probably end up trying to go through the used market to complete the collection best I can based on the original printing of the trade paperbacks in the US. Thought I’d check here to see if anyone knew and could give some insight.

I did a quick look, and my best guess is that it's embedded.  Every edition had it, so they might be printing them with it from here on out.  I know that that's what happened with Shadow and Bone's covers as well.

It is a bummer, that's for sure.

(On a more amusing note, I did Google this to see if that turned up anything more, and it autofilled my search to 'do the wheel of time covers have a middle ear infection'.

Lol that’s funny on the search result.

Appreciate you taking the time to look. I think it’s probably embedded as well since it’s showing up at every bookstore and not just Amazon. Might have to see if I can track down some of the older trade paperback prints before the 2020 run…

I believe that’s the smaller mass market paperbacks. I’m looking at the more full sized trade paperbacks. The publisher did a print of them all in that format once AMOL released.

This is the one for New Spring.

They printed a new run of these in 2020 with the Prime Video logo and now I can’t track down the 2013 prints. They’re the exact same art without that logo. I didn’t know if it was a sticker but I think it’s embedded.

Yeah, this is something publishers tend to do once there's an adaptation. You'll see the same thing happening with A Song of Ice and Fire if you've looked at any version of those printed in the last decade and it will probably happen on reprintings of Brandon's books if/when any film or television adaptations come out. So grab 'em now while they're still clean of advertising! :D

Speaking of which, the art for the newest release of Eye of the World is quite nice.
