Lilliana left her room. "Hey! It's night time, and if we are going to try to sneak into the wedding dinner tomorrow, we should probably go to bed." She grinned. "And as a continuation of our previous discussion, for me this is more like Alice in Wonderland, as I literally fell through a hole in the ground."

Hoblim looks up, horrified. "It's night already? Rusts!" He stands up, ignoring the weird woman and goes to a corner, getting a weird rope out of his pouch and starts tying it around his hips. Then, he starts mumbling words, too quite for anyone to hear.

Well, I did say that his religion would change things. This is an example. He's now praying. And he'll do it three times a day. And it'll take more time in the mornings.

It's fine. Lilliana will pray morning and night, as well as before she eats breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She will also pray when she's in an extremely stressful situation.

Lilliana crashed into the wall. "Mother of pearl! Ouch!"

"Uh..." How do I lie convincingly... "No." She said slowly. "I'm not." Bravo Lilliana. That was a horrible lie. There goes your career as a Lightweaver. Oh well. "I'm going to bed now. Bye." She walked to her room backwards. She was still staring at the lady.

Trésor smiled gently at her. “That was a terrible lie. You’re not the only one from that world to come here you know.” She raised a brow as the young man ran off. “Forgot Mincha, did you?” she said, amused.

Note: Trésor is not Jewish, but Treasure IS. And they share memories.

Kelsier set aside Warbreaker. So that was how Nightblood had come in to existence, was it... Good to know.

Smirking, he picked up Arcanum Unbounded, smiling fondly as he glanced over Khriss’ essay. This was the short version, of course. He’d read the longer one, published in the two volume “Worlds of the Cosmere” set. The one here, he noted with disappointment, was a trifle outdated.

"Uh..." She turned around and ran to her room, going right through the speed bubble. She yelped, and then bent over. NO! I can't get motion sick now!

Hoblim shoots a look at her but doesn't answer, since it's forbidden to do so while he prays.

Yay, now I'm not the only Jew here! Though Hoblim is, the poor fellow. Oh, and in case you wodered, he wears a gartel.

Why is she suddenly terrified of meeting new earth people when she was all for it before?

I guessed. I’m assuming mincha, because there’s no real reason to rush for Maariv...

Kelsier put the second book away, preparing to pull down the speedbubble when Lilliana crashed through it. “You really should watch where your going,” he noted lightly. “Falling into alternate worlds, smashing through speedbubbles...”

She moaned. "Stupid motion sickness." She sat down, and put her head between her knees. "Why are you in my room?" She said, queasy.

“The library was closed,” Kelsier said cheerfully, dropping the bubble. “And you had some books by my favorite author”

Trésor entered the room, looking rather annoyed. “Apologies, Master Kelsier. She seemed rather happy to meet others from her world before. I don’t know why she panicked.”

And you were half wrong. He is praying Maariv now, though he'll pray amidah twice. If it's dark already Mincha is lost.

She looked at the lady. "Because you seemed like a stalker." She said bluntly. "Just 'cuz I'm impulsive, doesn't mean I'm am idiot." She then laid down on the ground. Well. This is not how I expected the rest of the day to go. What even is reality anymore?

Then why the rush? You have all night for maariv?

My father holds a later zman, so it’s often dark when he davens mincha. So the light out is not really much of a hint. Three stars is another story.

@Random Bystander

”Oh, she wasn’t stalking you,” Kelsier informed Lilliana. “I was. I just told her to talk to you so I could read in peace.”

Trésor rolled her eyes.

If I won't rush, I'll forget. And he did miss Mincha, so he's worried about Maariv.

As far as I know, it doesn't work this way. Three stars mean it's time for Maariv, not that only now the time for Mincha ended. I don't know, maybe your father goes with Rabeinu Tam - there's someone I know who does, and he sometimes prays Mincha after sunset. I don't trust such things, though. Not that I learned too much about it...

She absently fidgeted with her rubix cube. Well. I no longer understand reality. "Well then."

“So,” the Survivor said grinning, “what has Brandon written about me lately?”

Trésor sighed, flipping through a tarot deck as she watched the hall.

"Uh, the most recent thing was the [redacted] thing."

I think we might want to put the rest of this conversation into a PM. Lilliana has some stuff to say...

Kelsier shrugged again. “You’re fifteen years too late, I’m afraid. Time skip, remember? I’ll keep it in mind for book six.” He scowled suddenly, a thought occurring to him. “Rusts! If book four just released then he’s nowhere near writing Era 3!”

"Yes. He needs to stop worrying about the Skyward series." She complained. "The Cosmere stuff is by far the best." She put her rubix cube onto the dresser. "Also, I'm pretty sure he just started writing The Lost Metal, so..."

Alloy of Law and Oathbringer happen at the same time. I'm pretending that first thing Kelsier said wasn't said.

No, Alloy takes place near the end of the timeskip, ten/fifteen years after. Brandon’s talked about it. BoM may overlap book 6 at this point.

“I can hope. Of course, you did just ruin the plot. It was rather amusing to watch, I might add. Though I do wonder what Wax will think when there’s no attack tomorrow...”

I know, but we really want to go into the Stormlight Archive stuff without time traveling. So I tweaked the time a little bit.

Also, you killed my Cognitive Shadow plan. Okay then. Plan B. *Insert devious grin here*

"What?" She complained. "But now he won't believe the rest of the stuff! Like the thing about his uncle! Dang it. My plan is ruined."

“Nah, I’m sure he’ll figure it out eventually.” Miles would be kidnapping Steris on her next outing with Ladrian, hopefully fixing the plot. “I didn’t go to the trouble of getting him to shoot his wife so you could stop him from becoming what he needs to be.”

Quote

Hey, you’re the one who ran into the room... And Kelsier refuses to acknowledge any timeline changes. If he happens to get to Roshar at an earlier point, well, that just happened. He is very insistent on this. Mostly because it will annoy everyone, as far as I can tell. He does that.

She sighed. I am so freaking confused right now. "Wait. Back up. You did what?"

Actually, he'll keep his mind opened. He won't believe, but once he finds the evidence he'll believe.

Hoblim finished praying, and seems a little exhausted. He takes his Gartel off and puts it back in his pouch, then stops to think.

This woman seemed to know something of Judaism. Did that mean... That another Jew was here? But as much as he was tempted to check that, he decided he should sleep. After all, he'll have to try to wake up early tomorrow. He took his phone from the bathroom, where he apparently forgot it, readjusted his alarming clock, then on a snap decision turned his phone off. He wouldn't want the battery to run out, after all.

As noted, Steris will be kidnapped at their next outing. Just not at the wedding. That was what Kelsier arranged for Miles to be instructed.

"That... Was not mentioned in the books. It makes way more sense though." I should have known.

“Read between the lines,” the Survivor said dryly. “Tan speaks of me, not Saze. And it was my church everything went down in.

“Besides,” he added, “do you really see Saze setting up a con like that?”

”Harmony likes to encourage things,” Trésor agreed. “My lord makes them happen.”

This is cannon until Brandon tells me otherwise.
