Yes but he has never broached the topic of bonding spren of the same order say honorspren there's like 30 so it works plus they don't just have to be sword/knife shape for a guantlet yes you would need a lot but for a shin guard you only really need one

Make arm/leg/etc guards that cover vulnerable spots. leave the joints and stuff open. Sure, if you don't have real Plate, it's not gonna help protect those, but then, without real Plate, nowhere would be protected. Bonus round: get very skilled at manifesting a single Radiant Spren as an arm/leg/etc guard very swiftly.
