Wind he/him Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Lloyd walks in and let’s the door fall behind him. “There’s no turning back now, that door was only good for one use and we used it.” Lloyd looks ahead at the tunnel, it’s made of smooth metal and is slopes downwards. “We can’t go back out that door, and this metal is enhanced by qhoral, the only way out now is forward through a horde of loyal members of the Talon. Yes we have our work cut out for us, now let’s get moving.” Lloyd starts walking down the tunnel to some epic music playing. She had given up on shutting them out, the voices took care of that. They screamed at her, whispered right to her very core, trying to get her to break. Even her own mind was trying to get her to talk, to be free of the demons. But she couldn't. Simon had trusted her. He had trusted her wrongly, she was going to collapse. She could feel it. No one would help her, no one would care if she told. Yet at the same time, a quiet voice strengthened her. It kept some of the dark thoughts away. It was weakening, but it thought she could be strong. She couldn't. This one thought was stronger than the rest. It came from inside of her, burrowing little cracks in her resolve. It pushed against her will, weakening her. She was ready to give in. She had to give in, if she were to survive. Her hope was gone. Her resolve was gone. A tear ran down her cheek.
