A band kid is a certain sort of personality and subculture

It's based of how you act, playing one doesn't automatically make you a band kid

I came out!!!!! Vaguely. To a tiny group of friends (not the original group I was planning to tell, but oh well!)

I stared very hard at the carpet and said "I use any pronouns but if you tell my family that, I will punch you"

So that... worked? Everyone in the group is absolutely lovely (and I didn't tell anyone my chosen name, which unfortunately means I'll still get deadnamed but more fortunately means my family are less likely to find out) so yay!

We were in a study hall together and I was doing my math homework due next period (as one does) and I'm vibing to my very loud music in my very soundproof headphones and he taps me on the head. I jumped literally 10 inches lol not even kidding and he laughs a bit and holds up his newly finished math homework "wanna check answers?"
