Nathrangking he/him Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) Quote It's to be expected. I turn to Chao. "I'd wondered where you'd gone. Welcome back Mistress of Chaos." Edited March 3, 2020 by Nathrangking

Quote In my head yes, given the amount of e-books that were never published in print. For me the act of creation is more important than the place. In my head everything that people spend some time on to create and to write down is something she has a connection to. So I wouldn't count quick chats or something like that. (Ultimatively, it's up to you - I don't want to have her end up too strong or too weak or to destroy what you have in mind, so I'm fine with everything I would be glad if she could maybe find out a little thing that they need to find out anyway? Though if that doesn't work, then it doesn't work and they just never wrote it down in a way she can access.) ============== Leila considered Balhaan's words, not turning around. They all had followers, had managed to preserve that little piece of their past. There might be fewer of them, than there were before, but still, they had them. Not for the first time she regretted that she had let this part of being a god slide, that instead she had focused on other parts of her existence. She didn't regret what she had done instead, but the nagging feeling that she should have cared a bit more didn't go away. She lifted a hand and brushed her hair out of her face, finally turning back to the others turned around when she heard someone else enter the room. A smile crossed her face at the sight of Chao, and she inclined her head in greeting. "I am glad you are here." She stated calmly, although Chao's words suggested that contrasting Leila she had attended the meeting. She liked Chao, found that creating books often needed a little bit of Chaos to work, that good tales used that spark of unplanned events to really work. Focusing her matter back at the situation at hand she walked over to the table and sat down, carefully choosing a stool that allowed her to see the mountains outside. "Why don't we set them a trap?" She asked. "Then we can choose the next battlefield and prepare it to our advantage." Her eyes darted to Balhaan, wordlessly asking for his opinion. She knew the stories of war and fighting, had moved over countless battlefields, but it was nothing compared to his experience and knowledge. @Nathrangking @Dr. Dapper @Blessing of Potency

The plan had merit, but it was not without risks. Fighting a relatively unknown enemy even in a scenario where the field has been chosen and prepared could well end in disaster. "Our first step must be to gather what intelligence we can. Battle on a field of our choosing is wise. However, we must be calculating and not play into the hands of our enemy." I turn to Sangus. "How quickly can you reach out to your contacts? " I turn to Caeli. "Can you stir up the storm winds and create some chaos for us? The clean up work will keep our enemy off balance I think." I turn to Chao "How much Chaos can you create?" @Dr. Dapper @Blessing of Potency @ZincAboutIt @Sorana

"I shall call Zephyr's brothers and tell them of his fate - if they don't already know. We shall find them to be formidable allies. Boreal alone can freeze an entire region into submission, and Notus is always looking for something to wreck. It has been a long while since I've seen Eurus, but even he shall come. old man moomba he/him Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 “We could bait them into a trap.” Sangus ruminated on this for a moment. “But in doing so, we risk overextending ourselves and letting the Complex strike back.” the god of wisdom stood up, pacing back and forth, occasionally puffing on his pipe. “The best course of action would likely be two attacks at once. We bait their main fighting force out, entrapping them into a losing battle. But at the same time, we must strike against their strongholds.” Sangus turned to look back at the other gods. “I shall contact my followers as soon as we are done here. They will have much to share, I believe.”

+Sorana she/her Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Leila started to note down their words, made sure she managed to capture the mood of the situation. The drive, the fierceness, but also the caution and the danger they knew they were toying with. She lost herself in her words, quickly covered a page and then a second one, ended up with a longer description on Sangus and how he sat there, fully trusting his followers. Balhaan how he tried to look at the situation from every angle, to make sure they were save and Caeli. Leila loved how she looked outside, her path of action clear and vivied in front of her eyes. Tut'Kor'Anuumo who spoke less, but whose words were well chosen and transfering everything that needed to be said. She only looked up when the discussion came to a halt, when they needed to decide and nobody stepped forward to snatch up the crown. Fascinating. And wonderful. She found herself smiling at this fact alone, that they wanted to hear every voice and gave everybody a chance to speak up as well. It took a several sentences to capture this fact alone and she finished them first before adding her own opinion. "I don't know if we are ready for a battle." She started slowly. "But on the other hand, I don't know if they expect us to attack just know." She made a vague gesture with her hand. "I agree that we should wipe out their hiding points, but at the moment, at least I don't know where they are." Her eyes moved from Sangus to Balhaan. "The same with their supplies. As long as we don't know which goods they need and which supply chains they rely on, we can hardly destroy them." She gave a slight shrug. "I think we only have two options here. Either we lure them out in the open and then follow them back to one of their hiding places and from that one try to find out more, or we try to gather all intel we can find and hope that we can puzzle some clues from it." @ZincAboutIt @Nathrangking @Dr. Dapper @bees? He grabbed a man in a blood red suit with a symbol of a lions head on his collar bone by his throat and slammed him into the wall. Godlslayer bellowed into his face, "THAT WAS A HOSPITAL. INNOCENT! ALL YOU DID WAS PISS HIM OFF!" Alice walked into the room, seeing a man in power armor holding someone up against the wall. "Did something happen?" She asked with a sigh. "Everyone in the building could hear you yelling." She looked at the man currently being held against the wall. "Also, if you want him to answer you you might want to consider releasing him, he can't really talk with his throat pressed shut, and if you keep him up any longer he won't be able to answer you ever again, given that he'd have choked to death."

His words are chosen carefully for this he has my respect though I will have to keep an eye on this one. I must tread carefully or risk losing him. I keep myself neutral and devoid of emotions. "Upon the surface this seems to be merely an attempt to do as you say. However, the implications here are just what we may need. You are correct that a strike upon great populations will make quite a scene. I doubt that the God Complex cares if we destroy their fellow mortals. We don't know where their armies camp or wherein lie their supply lines. This cutting off the waterways will create chaos and force them to shift resources to maintain their supplies. An organization such as theirs must have deep pockets. If we put pressure on them in ways that they will think important then they will make a mistake and we will utterly obliterate all memory of them from this realm." @bees? @ZincAboutIt @Dr. Dapper @Blessing of Potency @Sorana 1
+Sorana she/her Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Pensively Leila looked up. "But what if we used the crowds?" She asked and stood up again, walked over to the window again. "What if we used the means of this society to find those ripped from us?" Turning around to face them, she made a quick note in her book before continuing to speak. "Even with all of our ressources combined, we don't have the means to see and hear everything, but they," she made a sweeping gesture outside, "they do." "We could publish a letter, maybe pictures, ask everybody if saw them, and if they have clues to contact us." "It's not without risk, but it also doesn't hint at our current level of knowledge, and maybe we will end up with a vital clue. I doubt that every person out there is part of our enemies, and if we tread carefully we could use such an action to cover up on the other things we do. As long as I have known her everything that she says is loaded with meaning. What most deities remember she has forgotten. This that is her nature and which makes her unpredictable is what makes her more powerful than most would ever hope to be. Many a time have she and I joined forces upon the field of battle.
