Kira wasn't sure that she liked that grin. "We . . . could do that? Or, if anyone has a car, then that might work instead. Or maybe if there's a bus. Or we might be able to rent bikes Or we could walk." Basically anything that wasn't helping that grin would be good with her. Kira looked hopefully at Lewis, Wita, and Quinn. "I don't suppose any of you have a car, do you?" Probably not, but it didn't hurt to ask, whereas it could possibly hurt very much not to ask.

"I can take someone with me on the bus, without having to pay."

Wita smiled at them, opened her purse and help up a card. It showed her face, and a disabled symbol. They had handed it to her, to get to the place where she worked.

"There's a station close by. My bus home stops there."

She paused for a moment, packed her own purse away and looked through the one of the dead man.

"He had some money as well, if we want to use that."

Let's steal the dead man's money, he doesn't need it anymore

And today of all days there wasn't connection at my school.

They were going to the house of the dead man. It didn't really concern him anymore. It was true that he had got curious but actually investigating at another location implied more commitment than he was planning. But his curiosity didn't go away, and he had already almost died tonight, might as well find out why.

"I'll go."

Then there was the problem of getting there. There were a few ideas, some better than others, some that bordered on dangerous.

"I have a car, but you can't complain about my music taste if you're gonna ride with me." said one of them finally.

"I vote for that one." said Lewis. Who cared about what kind of music he listened to as long as they got to the place?

Wita nodded, put her card away, when the limping man agreed to take the car. So they would take the car. It was fine, she figured, more or less. A car was dangerous. She wasn't supposed to get into a car with strangers.

"I want to sit next to Marcel. And I want to sit behind the driver."

She took care of the most important thing first. Better secure herself the best seat in the car before anybody else thought of it. Marcel was no stranger. He had danced with her.

"Do you have a green car?"

Excitedly she looked at Quinn, but stayed with Marcel. Quinn made her feel afraid, despite him having a car. She would stay with the nice one. And the fairy if the fairy came along.

"We'll use the car, then," Marcel said. Wita wanted to sit next to him and he had to admit anyone wanting to be near him was a surprise. Never the less, it was a welcome one, and Marcel looked at the mobster, then gestured to his watch, a cheap plastic thing with a green LED flashing simplistic digits at him.

"We don't have long," he said. "How fast can you drive?"

"Only one problem." Quinn smirked, "I've only got two seats, and one of them is the driver's. So unless you want to ride on top of the car, I'd recommend taking a taxi. I can pay for it, if you want."

Hey, I don't know if this is still going, but I'd love to join if it is... Does anyone mind? :)

No, and it is. Just create a character

Wita nodded happily, then changed her mind.

"The bus is better."

She stated, because a bus at night was an adventure. It was scary, as you never knew who you would meet, but she wasn't alone. Looking around she tried to remember where the bus stop was, and failed. She knew the stop, but to go there she'd have to know where she was first.

Tilting her head to the side, she waited for one of the others to lead the way.

“Perfect. A bus,” Marcel said and pointed to an old bus stop by the street where the alley cut off to meet a walking path and the road. He walked towards the bus-stop and gestured for the others to follow.

“It’s not everyday I take one of these,” Marcel said. “I hope the prices haven’t risen since I last went on one.”

"That works," Kira said, shrugging. "I should have enough to pay for myself, and Wita said she could take someone for free. Lewis, you're still going in the car, right? So that would make three people on the bus, and two in the car. Looks like we'll be meeting up again in Sugar Heights." She gave a sort of half-wave goodbye, turning to follow Marcel towards the bus. Lyssa followed after her, back in vine form once more, only darting ahead once to say hi to Wita.

Wita waved happily at the little fairy, when it darted to her, greeted her.

"You are so pretty."

She repeated again and tried to touch it. Strangely she couldn't. Her fingers just touched nothing but the air. She followed Marcel to the bus stop, a slight spring to her steps, when she wasn't able to hide her excitement at the prospect to investigate a murder.

"We need a team name. Something cool, that shows that we belong together."

Grinning she turned back, so that she could see Kira as well. The bus drove around a corner and she followed it with her eyes. It was long, bright red. Like a dragon. Her smile vanished and she continued to look at the bus, the dragon. Threatening it came closer, it's lights like ghosts darting though the night, its tires made strange sounds on the ground. then it stopped, the door opened and everything was back to normal. She knew about a bus. Carefully she stepped into it, showed the driver her card and pointed at Marcel.

"He's with me."

Just in case you want to hop on the bus as well. Wita won't ask, but I wanted to ;)

Lewis started following the others. "Actually, I think I'll go on the bus as well." Always follow the bigger group, especially if the alternative leaves you with only one other person you barely know. And a bus fee shouldn't be a problem.

“A team name,” Marcel mused as he stepped on the bus. He watched Lewis follow them and turned to the rest of the group. He didn’t know if the mobster wanted to join them, but if he did, he knew where to find them. It was a shame, the connections the mobster had could’ve come handy. Connections always came in handy.

“Wita and Friends?” He joked. It reminded him of some TV show from his youth.

Wita sat down next to Marcel and considered his name. Friends.

"We are friends?"

She asked and then hugged him, without waiting for a reply. Looking outside she waved at Kira to hurry up and get on the bus. The other man, Lewis had followed as well, and she waved at him as well. The fairy liked to wave and Wita copied the gesture from her, or at least she tried to. It had looked so beautiful when the fairy had smiled. Happily she hummed a song, still smiling. Friends. They were her friends. At least Marcel was, and the fairy. And maybe Kira. Lewis, she would see about Lewis.

“Well, I wou-” suddenly someone was attacking him, grappling at him and his fists clenched up to counter attack.

No, not attacking. Hugging. She was hugging him. Marcel took a deep breath at the sudden movement and something fell out of his eye from the impact of the hug and his reaction. His contact lense. Underneath his pale blue contact lens was not only a blood red eye, but a heavily constricted pupil, a black pin dot in his red eye. Struggling he shuffled around and rubbed the lens to rid it of any dust and hurriedly placed it back where it belong on his eye.

“Yes,” he said.

Wita pulled back, when he searched for something and shortly afterwards placed a contact lense in his eye again. A red eye. He had a red eye. Awed she continued to smile at him. He was her friend. And he was special. Like the little fairy and Kira. Or Lewis, although she wasn't really sure what Lewis could do.

"I won't tell anybody I promise."

She whispered and leaned over, to make sure nobody else could hear her words. He was in disguise, that made him even cooler. Falling silent she looked at him again. He knew so much about her powers, about the others. He had to be important, someone powerful.

"But you aren't a fairy as well?"

She asked after a while, although she suspected that he wasn't. Still she had to ask. to meet two fairys at the same day, would have been epic.

Kira had followed Wita and Marcel into the bus, but had gotten a little bit delayed trying to pay. At last, she got her ticket and was able to enter the bus, though she decided to wait for Lewis before choosing where to sit. Lyssa, however, seemed to be back to her usual self, and had zoomed over to where Wita and Marcel were sitting. She had changed to the shape of what looked like a little girl, and was listening intently to their conversation.

Lewis got his ticket without major trouble (though he had to look for extra pocket change among his other metal ammunition) and climbed the bus' stairs. Kira was standing there, was she waiting for him? "Should we sit over there with the others?" he said, pointing to Marcel and Wita. They were talking calmly like good friends, even though in a matter of minutes they would be searching the house of a dead man. "They're good at this."

The bus slowly started to go on its way through the city. Like an animal trapped in an endless round it would go on and on. Sleep for a while and then go on. Wita smiled at Kira and Lewis, carefully drew a flower on the window and looked outside.

"You didn't say anything to our team-name." She told the two of them and smiled. "If we are to be detectives we need a good name."

Happily she grinned and watched as the houses outside moved past the window. It wasn't far and after some fifteen minutes when the bus approached another stop she got up.

"Number 5. I counted."

Proudly she walked towards the door, stumbled when the bus slowed faster than she had expected.

"I'm fine either way." he told her.

Wita asked about a team-name. She really seemed to want one but, what was the point? It was not like they were going to actually use it, would they? "I don't really have any ideas."

Suddenly Wita got up and started towards the door with apparent difficulty. "Looks like we're here." he told Kira.
