That’s exactly it, though! Them just ignoring our messes (which we should be doing a better job of cleaning up, just IMO) removes all the consequences and tension. It doesn’t feel like an authentic experience.

That's what we decided on earlier. It's too late to change it now. Eventually, Sha-thoexis will be gone and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

How long has investiture been around on Earth? Forever?

I'm assuming so for now, although I'm not hard-sold on that idea.

But is that necessarily a bad thing? (:P)

I'm having some problems with the extent of Sha-Theoxis's influence, too. Just because you don't see something doesn't mean that it doesn't still have an effect. People would get really suspicious if they start running into walls of light that they can't see, or stumbling over even-looking paths. Did we ever even decide exactly how far Sha-Theoxis's influence would carry? I thought that people wouldn't see things inherently connected to magic - like glowing people - but could still see stuff that would be confusing, yet explainable. Like cake being splattered all over a battleground.

She can make it so people aren't suspicious. (And cake being splattered all over a battleground is rather unexplainable, in my opinion.)

Actually that was headcanon as well. because we had some reports on TV after our first battle as well.

What if we made Sha-Theoxis’s influence more similar to something like the Mist from Percy Jackson? People would see something explainable in non-magical terms. That could fix the problems with the news and potential collateral damage.

More or less, although there are issues with that idea. That's why you also have the obstruction of notice/suspicion.

Ooooh I’d be down for a prequel in earlier times, though we’d probably have it going at the same time as our main plot.

Here’s an explanation for the cake: the truck the Voidbringers were in was carrying a shipment of it for a bakery and got in a crash, sending cake everywhere. Not perfect, but not completely inexplicable. Not that I’m suggesting we use that, it’ll depend on the results of the below.

I’m going to make a poll for how much people can sense/see, as it looks like we have a bunch of ideas and are somewhat divided.

Good idea 'Ene. I personally think that our worldbuilding in general should be more loose (As in Subject to change over time, as benefits the characters and plot)

Just remember, Investiture has to remain concealed for the entire history of its existence. We're going to have to decide on a reason sooner or later for why it's still a secret.

Heck yes to the prequel! Though it might depend a little bit on what we decide to RP. I don’t know how accurate or interesting Stone Age TKND would be, thought the idea of doing a war is interesting. We could say historical figures were Invested...What are we calling it?

TKNP. The Knights Next Prequel :P

As for set in the past it’s definitely interesting, however I think medieval settings would be a little boring and standard with swords and empires and stuff and will lose what makes TKND so unique.
