He grinned. "Really? I love that thing... let's hurry." He grabbed his wallet and a pocket knife before hurrying outside and down to the ground level, waiting by Ax's bike.

Ax got his purse and followed Jace down, then got on the bike and waited for Jace to get on back.

The Voidbringers stared at Jamie for a few seconds, then backed off. Jamie flared her pewter, holding the massive blade in one hand as if it wieghed nothing. Suddenly, someone jumped onto her back, wrapping their arms around her neck. Jamie had no way to attack with her Shardblade, but they underesitmated her. With her free hand, she pulled her pistol out of her waistband and jammed it into her attacker's temple. Without paue, she squeezed off two shots into their head. The Voidbringer slid off her back and landed on the ground with a thud.

I posted what the crystals are about already, and most here were like "hey that's a cool idea." Yes, it's the same, it simply does something, as the other was destroyed before it could do anything. So the characters around can disperse of it, if working together. What they exactly do isn't defined, only that the will pervert the area around them.

Shana listened to Rob call the police and looked back at Ben. Fight for them. Rob was right, they were running out of stormlight. She felt around what she had left. She had to make it count. There weren't that many left, but enough to kill them all. Rob was with Ben, so maybe she could move for a bit. Especially those with that strange glow around them, she had to find a way around them. Slickening her feet she dashed over to a knife one of the Voidbringers had dropped and picked it up. Evading another bolt she knelt down, used the Van for cover. She was afraid, wished she could leave, could get Ben out of here, but it wasn't her role. James had been right, she could be stronger, she could be hero. Because she wasn't alone.

"I will fight for those, who can't fight for themselves."

She whispered, finally speaking the thought out that had been living in her head ever since she had seen Rob in the middle of her flames in the dream. He had never stopped fighting. So she wouldn't give up as well. She would stand up for them, fight for them. Mahad curled around her nexk happily and muttered something, that was lost in the bolt of another Voidbringer. Shana moved around their enemies, to their back and then she rushed forward, attacked one of them. She only had a knife, but she would use it. She stabbed the man, and he whirled around. Before he could channel his power she slashed at him again, cut open his stomach and then slammed her left fist in his face, before opening his throat. One down.

Also also, yay, I get to RP Rob’s corruption (muahaha).

Rob looked ahead while Shana jumped in front, using the van as cover and speeding over.

“She swore the second ideal,” Cup whispered a few moments later and Rob was happy, that was great. But his face remained like it always did and he huddled close to Ben, he’d be happy too.

Shana took down an enhanced Voidbringer and Rob was reminded of his thigh. It ached terribly no matter how much stormlight he used, and he thought for a fleeting moment that something was seriously, seriously wrong.

Shana was fighting up close. And with what Rob knew of the Void lightning, that was extremely dangerous. With the very last of the stormlight he had Rob looked to Shana, her clothes.

He focused on the air between his hands and what she was wearing, and with the rest of his stormlight he channeled Tension, making her clothes as strong as armour, so even Void lightning couldn’t pierce it.

However that meant there was less for the cloth shield and a subsequent lightning bolt ripped straight through it, setting it on fire.

Throwing the flaming besdsheet towards the Voidbringers in distraction Rob picked up Ben and ran to the opposite side of the street, using a car parked on the side of the road for cover.

Jace hopped onto the motorcycle, latching onto Ax and holding on so he'd be fine during the ride. He hoped Ax had either a helmet or a pair of goggles he could wear during the ride.

Looking back at Ashlyn, James had a realization."Actually, do you think you could get out of here without being seen? If you join us, the Voidbringers will target you too." He put a hand on her shoulder, "And I won't have you putting your life at risk unless you're fully willing to commit to a cause you have almost zero knowledge of."

I was referring to the crystal here. If the Voidbringers are using them, they'd need a reason. Thade's perspective may be skewed, but his arguments should be valid.

Also, what are you thinking the 'corruption' of the crystal would entail? I have my own ideas, but I'd like to hear what you think about it first.

Fair enough. Maybe recent improvements allowed that whole “it enhances Voidbringers around it” aspect and they got overconfident because they thought the Radiants would be vulnerable at prom.

Leona hopped in the car. She peeled out of the garage, ignoring speed limits and flooring it towards Ben and Shana.

Shana stumbled when suddenly her dress changed. It became stiff, harder. She lost her momentum, while trying to adapt her steps, make them smaller to fit beneath the skirt.

The next Voidbringer turned to her, saw his dead comrade and lifted his hand, a bolt forming between his fingers. Shana dove to the ground, aimed for his leg. How many were left? Four, five? And that crystal. She couldn't take them on her own, not alone, not without help. The bolt rushed towards her, hit her chest and she silently thanked Rob for his quick thinking.

She slammed the knife down on his foot and then hastened behind a car into cover. Her chest hurt, the skin slightly burned from the bolt, the dress blackened.
