I smiled at hello at Shana. “Oh, thank goodness...” Ben breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that some of those who had killed themselves in order to get out of the dream wouldn’t have been ok. He had known that Edwin was fine and he had shot himself, but he could have been woken up just as the gun went off... Anyways, they were fine, meaning that Flid was probably good too.
old man moomba he/him Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Quote I voted for the first option, but I think the shopping one would be good as well. It might make a good opertunty to introduce new characters as well.
Bookish Ocelot she/her Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Quote So, for the house. I'm assuming a very large house on a fairly big lot, maybe 5 acres? Surrounded by a forest or something? Anyways, I need to know who wants their own rooms, where things should be in relation to eachother. All I remember is that there are two floors, plus a basement that serves as a training area, a pool. The second floor must have all the rooms? Anyways, we should make a list of who's going with who to prom. I recall Leona is going shopping with Shana?

WrathofaShardKitten Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Quote What do elantrians look like in the RP? Do they just look normal? I'm trying to make my character, and I thought the Elantrian system might be cool, but I already know what I want my character to look like.
Lunamor she/her Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 18 minutes ago, Hope Spren said: Quote Ok, since everyone else more qualified to answer this question is offline at the moment, I will attempt to answer your question. If you were to use an Elantrian character, an easy way to get around the silver skin problem (the general public doesn’t know that such magic systems exist and they need to be kept unaware of them so as not to inspire a worldwide panic) is to use an illusion Aon to make them appear normal. However, I remember someone (I think Dapper) saying that each magic system would be in a different place in the world, and since Aons are location bound it might be a bit difficult for your character to maintain a strong enough illusion in Seattle (the location of all of our characters) while away from whatever their hometown is. I will tag people who can answer your question better to see what they have to say on this. @Dr. Dapper @AonEne @xinoehp512
old man moomba he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Quote Worry not, I'm here now! AonDor based magics are strongest in the UK, where that magic system originates.

old man moomba he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Quote Worldbuilding on the spot here... Perhaps the Elantians have a network of smaller power amplifiers spread over the world to ensure that, when traveling, they still have access to the Dor. Although I think Xino might disagree, they could just Tia to where they wanted to go and build the device, then leave. After that, the amount of Investiture flowing through them would probably scare Sha-theoxis off. Edited May 28, 2019 by Dr. Dapper

old man moomba he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Quote Where is he! Doc shrugged, "I'm not sure. I was about to go downstairs and check." he said, edging around Draug and heading for the stairs. He quickly made his way down them and into the living room. "Everyone get up ok?" he asked. ~~~ Jamie finished looking through her phone. She'd sent a few messages back to the others in DC, telling them that she was ok and not to come after her just yet. Nodding to herself, Jamie left her phone and got ready. Around five minutes later, she stepped into the living room, fiddling with a pair of aviator glasses.
AonEne he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Quote Cassie has her own room. It's upstairs. She's not currently going with anyone to the prom - she'll end up going as more of a chaperone - unleeeeess she goes with Jamie, but it seems a bit early in the ship for that. I like the idea that they have mini-Dor amplifiers everywhere! Feel free to submit your character profile anytime, and I'll add it to the OP.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Quote Not opposed to the idea in general, but if it does happen it has to be a fairly recent development; the idea is that practically no-one has been getting in or out of the area for a long, long time, which is why nobody knows about the existence of other magic systems. 27 minutes ago, Dr. Dapper said: Doc shrugged, "I'm not sure. He turned around and let out a sigh of relief. “You made it out okay?” he asked anxiously.

WrathofaShardKitten Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Quote Does this work? Name: Evelyn Reed Age: 15 Height: 5’ 7” Appearance: Long, slightly wavy, black hair. Is fairly thin and has pale skin. She usually keeps her eyes a light purple color. Always carries around a book-bag with several books, a notebook, and a pencil. Wears a necklace with a pendant shaped like a maple leaf. Personality: Evelyn is quiet and responsible. She reads a lot, and listens patiently. She loves learning and also Dungeons and Dragons (the vocal version as well). She is also very afraid of fire. Past: Evelyn became an Elantrian at age 13. She was trained by the other Elantrians, and learned fast. She uses the Aons to look the same way that she did before the Shaod. She was brought to Seattle to assist in setting up another place where the Elantrians could access the Dor. She was taken there by another Elantrian who vanished soon after the access point was created. Edited May 28, 2019 by Hope Spren
AonEne he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Quote There's a vocal version of DND? I think you mean she uses Aons to look the same way she used to, not seons. Other than that, should be good!
WrathofaShardKitten Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Quote You've never heard of vocal D&D? This (Melody declared) is a tragedy. Vocal D&D is awesome. It's a lot like D&D, but without dice or a book. There's still a dungeon master, and people get to make characters, and then you kind of just create a story. It's really fun. Sorry if that's not the best explanation. You'll probably get a better one if you ask around. Also, thanks! 2
AonEne he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Quote That sounds more fun than regular DND... Spoiler Don't kill me, DNDers!
overlord stick Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Flid let out a relieved breath. Everyone seemed to have woken up. He grabbed a soda (Sprite, if you were wondering) and layed on the couch. "So, glad that ordeals over.
old man moomba he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 "Sure, sure." Jamie nodded happily, "It was fine after I shot myself." she smiled at him, before stepping towards Cassie. "Hey..." she muttered, "I thought... maybe we could go riding later today?"
AonEne he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 "Oh." I blinked, then smiled. "Yeah, I'd like that." Quote *Cassie internally dies of joy*
overlord stick Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 "I just ate a cyanide pill. Much less stressful then aiming a gun at you're head." He turned on the TV, switching between channels and sipping at his drink.
Eluvianii he/him Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 "Yeah, but the gun is quicker." said Edwin, then went to the kitchen and grabbed something from the fridge. If there was anything that helped with bad experiences, that was food.
Lunamor she/her Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Ben shuddered at their talk. He was grateful that Shana had woken him up. Had she not, he would have been forced to kill himself. He wasn’t sure if he could, and didn’t want to have to find out. “Hey, um, thanks for waking me up,” He whispered to Shana, internally kicking himself for forgetting to thank her earlier. @Sorana Edited May 28, 2019 by Lunamor
