Any of the reasons in the OP, for starters. 

If you are having doubts about being a Radiant, that would make you more susceptible. If you have a particularly strong fear of something, that would make you more susceptible. Anything about you that Sha-thoexis can use to make you give up will make you more susceptible.

When you are sleeping, you are more susceptible, although not always.

Falling to Sha-thoexis is when you give up and let her into your mind. She breaks your bond and takes your memory of Investiture.
