I’m going to have Rob the only one who’s completely oblivious to Ben and Shana’s romance :P

Flid currently is also oblivious, and is bad at noticing stuff of that type in general.

"that's awesome Doc! I think I'm going to stick with swords though. they just feel Right."

Doc finished a block of code and stood up. He had spent far too much time in his workshop today. He needed to relax a little. He walked out of the workshop, closing the door behind him. He stood on the stairwell for a second, and, hearing the sounds of training from downstairs, he decided to join the younger Radiants.

Doc strode into the training room, heading directly for the weapon racks. He grabbed an odd looking crossbow, loaded it, and walked over to a target. Without saying a word, he pulled the trigger. Bolts sprayed out of the bow at an almost terrifying rate, covering the target. Doc smiled as he peppered the target with bolts.

Noticing the other Bondsmith, James walked over to him. "So, I bet there's a thing or two I could learn about the Bondsmith surges from you."

Leona set down her bow and arrows. The dummy was now a veritable porcupine. She felt pretty confidant in her soulcasting, but transportation wasn’t something she wanted to venture in to.

She picked up a pair of thin swords curved on one side. “Wanna spar?” she asked Flid.

Leona is a diehard fan girl and ships anything and everything. She’s noticed and is 472% shipping Benana. (this ship name is the best thing)

Flid turned and smiled. "Storm yeah I do!"

Edwin grasped firmly a rail that ran along the wall as if his life depended on it. The chances that he might do something actually dangerous were really low (first ideals couldn't do much), but fear dominated him.

He inhaled and focused on a single spot on the floor, not too big, just enough to make sure he could do it...

He crashed on the floor.

He sat up dizzily and looked up to realize that the rail had melted.

"See? It happened again." When he tried to melt something he almost always succeeded, but it never was what he wanted to melt.

"Just keep trying, you'll get it eventually."

He wasn't so convinced.

"Probably," Doc said nonchalantly "What do you want to know about? My personal favorite is this." he pulled his phone out of his pocket, dropped it on the floor, and stepped on it. The screen cracked in several places, the display going dark. Doc scooped the device up, and with a flourish, inhaled Stormlight and touched the screen. The cracks sealed up, and Doc held up the phone. He pressed thepower button and the screen light up.

"I'll admit that's quite impressive" James said, "but I've heard some crazy stuff about learning languages with a single touch."

Then looking down, slightly embarrassed, he continued, "and there's the matter of just mastering the basics."

"Forever."

Ark, when was that? I gave it to the first people who called.

Doc shrugged and checked his watch.

"Hmmm. I've gotta go check something. Be back in a bit." he strode off to his workshop, walking over the 3D printers. One of them had been printing components of his device for several hours, and it was finally done. He removed the pieces from the printer and took them over to his workbench, where the guts of his device sat, waiting to be assembled into their final form. The computer had finished bug testing the first iteration of the code, which was mostly copied from another project that he had given up on. He worked on assembling the device, his excitement almost uncontainable.

Mahad followed him, tried to find the birds. At first, there was nothing, then he saw a small bird with a red tail, chilping excitedly.

====================

Sceptically she looked at the new dummy. To hit that one with a weapon would be stupid. Plastic tended to splinter, especially hard plastic. She inhaled again, concentrated, focused. It was loud in the training room, Doc came down, and left shortly afterwards, the others were talking. Was Ben watching her again? And where was Mahad, he was supposed to help, not to do whatever he did right now. The plastic felt different than the wood, where wood been stoic, old, this one was new and excited, open for a change. Another person entered the room, another one left. She really should do her homework soon - focus! Plastic, new and excited, the finger, only the finger. She opened her hand concentrated on the finger, slammed her mind against it, shattering the plastic, jumped in surprise when she heard a loud noise from behind and stared at the remains of the dummy. There was a large hole in the right side, and a piece of the foot was missing as well. Whirling around she found Rob standing in front of another Dummy, the head lying somewhere on the floor.

"You startled me."

She shouted and turned back to her own dummy, which was slowly falling over. With a loud noise it crashed, fell on the floor.

A cardinal! Glint exclaimed excitedly. He raced over to it. It was sitting in its nest.

Ben winced as the dummy crashed to the floor. Plastic maybe wasn’t the greatest choice of materials.

Sawyer frowned, looking down at her pole arm and back at the sparring room. She’d need space. Sawyer hung out over to one wall. Once more people left she’d begin.

Leona parried Flid's attack, then swept her sword to his legs.

You seem obsessed with him. added Onyx helpfully.

"I am not obsessed," she replied. "You're imagining things."
