I don't know why that happened.

Doc chuckled and leaned back.

"I bring young Radiants here. They're so broken..." he paused, seeming a bit sad "I put out messages to the other enclaves, telling them to send their young Radiants to me. I can usually convice their parents to let me take care of them. Plus, Seattle is special, there are a lot of Radiants here, for reasons I don't understand."

He mentioned other groups, not spren. also, (assuming realmatic theory is in this) how would the spren immediately know about this specific place? Back when Pattern and Syl were bonded, they forgot most everything after they came to the physical realm.

Here's my character, @AonEne (I don't really know how this all works)

Character Name: James Freeman

Order: Bondsmith

Spren: The Nightwatcher

Age: 18

Hair color: Red

Eye Color: Blue

Description: James is 18 years old, with flame-red hair which curls to his neck, and light blue eyes, and glasses. He is slight of build, and a medium height. As a newly fledged Radiant of the 2nd Ideal, he is still somewhat unsure of his new role in the world. A shy and at times aloof outward appearance belies a sympathetic, geeky, and joking interior that shows around those he’s close to. A true introvert, he is generally uncomfortable with crowds, but give him a small group, and he’s almost a new person. He dislikes conflict, so has taken a role as a mediator: his insistence on looking at things from both sides has led to quite a bit of indecision on his part, and an inability to declare one side right. He is uncomfortable with leadership roles, and can be often found bemoaning his role as a Bondsmith, an order focused on leadership. On the plus side, however, his habit of carrying on extended conversations with himself can now be attributed to his spren, which the Nightwatcher does not appreciate.

Rob looked at Shana. “And now I’ll get you out of the ground. But I promise I’ll go slow when I liquefy it.”

"Be strong."

Mahad whispered.

"I need you to do something for me."

Shana took a deep breath, inhaled more stormlight, and nodded. She wouldn't hide here like coward.

"Go ahead."

She told Rob. It was stone not water. She wouldn't drown,  he could easily make it solid again. Still her fingers started shaking and each breath was a bit harder than the one before.

"Don't go slow, just get done with it."

Oh nooooo.

Doc's first name is James too.

Regarding the plausibility. Perhaps the other Bondsmith died and a new person bonded the Nightwatcher, but doesn't know about the whole Radiant network thing.

Immediately the stone space around Shana rippled to liquid, Rob outstretched his hand. “If you need help getting out.”

Shana clenched her teeth, stomped on her pride and took his hand. The sooner she was out of here the better. She made sure to get away from the pool, before sitting down aswell. She brushed as much of the liquid off her cloths as possible and then looked at his face, the bloody welts her nails had left.

"Sorry for that. I lost it in there."

Rob helped her out of the liquid as solidified once she was out. When she apologised for scratching his face, he shook his head, lightly tapping a spot above his cheek where she’d scratched. It sill burned.

“It’s fine,” he said. “Fear makes people do dangerous things. Not their fault.”

"I don't know? I mean it is still me acting. Just because I am afraid, does that lead to me not being able to make a decision?"

Leona's hands were raisins by the time she was done swimming. She hauled herself out of the pool and changed into leggings and a t-shirt.

She got out her laptop, and flopped down onto the sofa.

Rob crossed his arms curiously. “We were talking about this in Philosophy. Whether a person is responsible for what they do even in cases like this. Like with cannibals, who had to eat dead bodies to survive, is that wrong, or right, becuase they were under huge pressure from starvation and desperation.”

He sighed. “Interesting stuff, but at least it’s easier than debating. I think our team is on its sixth loss.”

Shana leaned forward and spread her hands.

"I didn't really follow the debating team."

She apologized and then thought about his words.

"I think the difference between me and cannibal on a lonely island is, that you had the situation under control, while the cannibal is on his own. Even though we were sparring, I was never really in danger."

But it had felt like this, she had felt the water on her face, pushing her down, suffocating her. She frowned and then brushed her hand over her face. Nothing. She was outside, she was breathing.

"But then fear doesn't care about that."

“I guess not,” Rob said. “The Cannibal thinks he’s going to die if he doesn’t take drastic measures, fear makes people feel the same. Whether there was any danger to begin with doesn’t matter.”

He shrugged, disconnected from the emotion he was talking about.

“And fear is fine, but if we ever meet a Voidbringer with the Surge of Tension, you at least know to avoid them.”

“And as for debating, apparently telling your opponents they’re wrong and walking away is not a valid argument. Though I think that’s a sound strategy.”

Magical plot reasons.

Wyndlerunner, I've added you to the OP! Welcome!

I paged through a book absently.

James walked towards the house, first checking the address scrawled on a scrap of paper in his pocket to insure this was the place. Shifting his well-worn volume of The Lord of The Rings to his other hand, he knocked on the door. "I hope this goes well" he muttered to himself, "I really hope it does"

Shana laughed heartily at that.

"Did you really tell them they're wrong and walked away?"

She asked and then replied to hus other comment.

"I simply have to get better with Division. Then they won't even come close enough to use their surge."

Hearing the door again, I left my book on the bed and wandered down. Swinging the door open, I smiled at the man standing there. "Hey, can I help you?"

"Hello" James said, "I'm James Freeman, Bondsmith." He adjusted his glasses slightly, and ran his hand through his hair. "And I think I'm supposed to be here"
