"I uhh.. kinda studied the wizards." Ayra bit her lip. She'd decided if she wanted to fight one of them she should know about them. She. knew a lot about them and about dark magic, a sort of bad guy vision of wizards.

Curious Zoe turned her head to Ayra. "Would you be willing to share what you know about them?" She asked because obviously Jarias wouldn't. "That might save us an awful lot of speculation."

Get on their good sides. She liked the thought, although it felt a little easy. Get on their good side and then - there had to be a reason why they were here, something the wizards couldn't do on their own. But then, maybe they weren't as powerful, maybe they needed them, because they needed their help. She nearly laughed at that thought. Apart from a lot of unlikely special cases there was no reason why wizards would need her help.

"Well, they use their wands to do magic, what they call spells. Each spell does a different thing, like unlock locks or destroy things. The wands are different and special to each person. They go to wizarding schools, kind of like camp half blood but more like mortal schools. There are like, 5 big schools. Ilvermorny is in Virginia, I think. The one I think we're going to is Hogwarts. Oh and they call mortals muggles."

After a few minutes there is the sound of someone apparating, then Iris steps into the living room. "You're ability to travel quickly will be very useful." Iris sits down in one of the chairs across from her.

"But exhausting." She says with a sigh.

“Your wand is being made, in the meantime I have a job I need done.” Iris says, noting the the comment for later, “I have an agent in the US who’s gone dark. They either betrayed me or something happened to them. I need you to figure out which, and if they have been compromised I need you to get rid of them. They are magical and they have a wand, however their not very good at combat Magics. Do you accept?”

"Not... really. I've never managed to make mine corporeal."

"Well, it--like you said about wands--is very revealing of your personality, and there's also not a lot known about them. Mine...well, I'm able to tell what it is, but it's certainly not very strong. Don't you find it odd that Harry Potter, who lived much of his life being oppressed and attacked by both his own family and You-Know-Who, was able to find such a strong memory that his Patronus could drive away hundreds of dementors in his third year? Sorry, I'm rambling. Anyway, being able to even produce a Patronus shows a lot about you. Severus Snape was the only Death Eater to ever be able to cast a Patronus, as the rest of them were beings of darkness, in a way. Catullus Spangle once wrote that 'the Patronus is the awakened secret self that lies dormant until needed, but which must now be brought to light…' "

"Huh. That's... a surprisingly detailed memory. I guess I just don't have any strong enough happy memories or anything? I mean, I can cast the charm, I just can't make it corporeal."

"That's normal, actually. It took me a really long time and a lot of practice before my weasel appeared. An incorporeal Patronus is still effective, just not nearly as much."

"Yes." Excitement flooded through her veins. Finally! I am going to be useful.

Iris smiles, "Hasel, would you please bring me down the file on Julie please?" Theres some russling from upstairs, then Hasel comes in and hands Iris a small manila folder and leaves again. "I always keep files on all of my agents. They become quite a bit more... subtantial when they dissapear or go rogue. And before you ask, yes, there is a file for you" She holds it out. "This should have a last known location, predicted locations of where she could have gone, and a picture."

Ah, I always forget to answer things!

Yes! If you guys need something to do I think a monster attacking the hogwarts express would be perfect! Especially sense it's only demigods on it right now other than the barebones crew. It should also give me a chance to let me introduce my demigod character cause I don't trust myself to RP Chiron and and I don't think he would come with personally.

"Alright! So, my seventeeth cousin eight times removed Garrick Ollivander only uses Dragon Heartstring, Unicorn Tail Hair, and Phoenix Feathers for wand cores. He claims that those are the most powerful of the cores, and while that may be correct, they certainly aren't the only possible cores. When I take the business, though, I want to stop using only those three and use other, more controversial cores for wands, because I think that... well... you know how the wand is unique to the witch or wizard? What if somebody doesn't have their perfect match? What if their wand isn't right, because they don't have the right core? What kind of cores are there? I seriously want to know what other things people can use in wands!"

"Ollivander's father was known to use Kelpie hair, and Salazar Slytherin had a Basalisk fang in his. I also heard a rumor the core for the Elder Wand was a Threstal Hair."

Wait, Basilisk fang? How would that even work? That's so metal :P

Yes, those are actual cores, and yes, Basalisk fangs can be cores too. The person who founded Ilvermorny (what was her name again?) used a Horned Serpent horn for her and her sons' cores, and I'm pretty sure they've also used Thunderbird feathers and... Pukwudgie hairs? IDK.

Alright, who's running it?

Quote

I can. Hope a chimera works for you.

Zoe listened to the explanation about the wizards and their wands, about how they wielded magic. She slowly relaxed, believed Jarias explanation of his nervousness. They would go to the school and then they hopefully would learn the truth about why they head been sent here.

The train moved forward, slight vibrations running through it now and then and she turned her head, looked outside of the window, wondered how it would be to meet someone whose powers belonged to themselves and weren't based on some godly parent.

"Jarias." She started, her voice shaking when she saw something, something large, something moving, something that most certainly didn't belong here. "Jarias. Arya." She repeated and stood up, moved away from the window although it had seen them, or sensed them or whatever it was that it did.

The chimera screeched, iits  wings beating the air, it's scorpion like tail extended straight behind it. It turned its head, its legs ending in goat like hooves, a long tongue flicking out between its fangs.

Zoe took another step back, her mind trying to come up with something, anything, but her own words echoed in her head. She was useless in a fight, useless. There was nothing she could do.

Cosette looks through folder, figuring out how tired and worn out she'll become if she travels across the "pond". "When do you want this case done by?"
