Alright, so, for a demigod does the parent have to be a Greek God?

Also, what point in the school year is this right now? 'Cause I am creating an eleven-year-old and wanted to know if I can include the sorting.

Yes, it has to be a greek god.

We're into the school year a little. Not far. You definitly could do a flashback!

Cosette may or may not have heard of her, depends on how involved with the wizarding world she is as she is in the newpaper that I'm blanking on the name of and is being called "The next dark wizard"

Ok, great!

Beth's face lit up. "It's called Words of Radiance, it's the second book in this really great series called the Stormlight Archive. It's written by this really cool guy named Brandon Sanderson, and you should definitely read all of his books!"

That is actually the book I am reading right now, so...

No, it isn't, but I don't care. It was just Sanderbook Russian Roulette

You thought Fadran was my love-of-magic-systems guy? You're dead wrong! He's only one of two! Heck, and Janice was designed to explore more the obscure sides of Null's universe.

Yes. I am my love-of-magic-systems guy. I LOVE magic systems! Hard, soft, middle... ALL OF THEM ARE AMAZING!!!

Yes, Cosette was able to get a copy of that newspaper. Does it an include a picture or...?

On a separate note, Cosette got her wand snapped when she got expelled, and has been trying to steal one that will work for her. So for now she has a switchblade and magical throwing knives that are very accurate and can't be deflected by magic. Or is that to OP?

Cosette takes another bite of her sandwich, and swallows. "Later. Frist, names."

Does one have to worry about "too OP" in a freeform RP?

Good point. But if I were to have normal knives they would be basically useless. So we are going with magical knives that are super accurate, don't dull, and can't be deflected with magic. The dulling part really doesn't matter but whatever. Switchblade is similar, except it is super sharp instead of accurate.

Ok, well character sheet

Alex Stellan

14

Wizard, not a Demigod

He's an American Muggle-born wizard, but was missed by the American ministry (They were having a lot of problems back in 2016, and some unfortunate kids slipped through the cracks). As such, he's gone for three years trying to learn about all the strange things that keep happening around him. He's got some amount of control over it at this point, but until he gets a wand, he's not going to be able to do much reliably. He does have quite a talent for Divination, though not a Seer, and saw a vision of himself in a crystal ball at a carnival. He bought the ball and has been using it to guide him to where he thinks he needs to go. So far it's taken him to London, and he's trying to figure out where to go next.

He's seen some interesting things since he ran away from home that are connected to demigods, but he hasn't made any kind of connection yet. He knows there's an underground magical community, but similarly doesn't know anything about wizards.

Alex ducked into an alley and pulled out his crystal ball, then quickly put it away after seeing two girls. He didn't want any questions. He'd have to find his own alley.

Cosette pulled out her swtichblade and put it to the foolish boy's throat. She was insanely fast, she was almost a blur.  "Careful. You can't just walk into any alley in London."

Consider Beth intrigued...

"That sounds complicated." Beth felt a surge of excitement. She always ended up bored after she finished her schoolwork; maybe this could give her something that challenged her for once. "Is there any way I could help?"

Alex puts his hands up.

"I don't have any money. And if you hold it there any longer I'll scream."

He sounds calm but inside his head it's going "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH"

Do you actually know what it is or not? If not... I can ad-lib a bit (I adore wandlore and I think I could give Beth a pretty accurate wand).

I'll just use mine on wizardingworld.com. I'm pretty similar to Beth, so it should be pretty accurate.

"Hmm... Cedar? Loyalty and friendship... I can see that. Unicorn hair core is a wand's bread and butter, but that doesn't mean it should be taken lightly..." Terra spun it around in her fingers. "See, every wand is unique to the owner; no two wands are exactly alike."

UNLESS YOU'RE SCUDDING FADRAN AND QUEEN!!!!!

@Condensation what's your wand? I NEED TO KNOW.

Iris may or may not be able to tell if someone is magical.

Ok, first of all, that's a really cool wand.

Second of all, I wish I wasn't in English right now so that I could SCREAM!!!!

Third of all, I updated that post so that Beth says something. I got a bit distracted by the fact that we are LITERALLY THE SAME PERSON!!!!

His eyes grow wide and a few sparks fly out of his fingers. "You wouldn't happen to give me a chance to explain myself first? I may be able to offer you something"
