Right now, he can't control it at all, he has no teacher, is panically afraid of what's happening, and right now is doing all he can to not change.
(But don't take that into consideration, if he learns one day due to character development, the points won't fit anymore - or am I approaching this wrong? For me the points are about potential, if I decide my character don't use their skills, it's my decision?).

Regarding an official limit or a recharge, as far as I know, @kenod didn't add something like that.

I have to admit 100 points feels - a lot. I can't help to compare his skills with a third oath radiant, but it's alright, I won't discuss that. Here he is again, now with exactly 150 points.

Mike

Name: Mike Austen (aka Mustafa Marcus Martha Mario Maverick Mary Micky Mich Morgan Melaku Macik Maurice Megan  Moses Mac Monica Molly Maddy Maddona Magento Maco Makie Malikia)

Age: 15

Physical characteristics: dark hair, tan, well-built for a teen, lanky, brown eyes, seven spikes in his chest

Investiture: spiked: can change parts of his body into animal parts (fox, cat, squirrel, wolf, porcupine, snake, squid, salmon) (100)

Weakness: easy target for emotional allomancy due to his spikes, panically afraid of Ark and any (known) members of the DA, claustrophobia (-25)

Character: shy and quiet, tries to keep to the background, very passionate about avenging his dead friend.

Special skills and Weapons: assassination (average) (40), melee weapons (average) (35)

Family: two younger brothers (David, Garrus), parents are still alive and they all live in a village close to Alleycity

Home: Alleycity

History/Biography: Mike grew up in Alleycity. One day he was on his way through the city with his best friend and they were robbed. His friend died on his way to the hospital and Mike swore he would avenge him. He joined the Ghostbloods for this reason and they started to train him. During one of his last trainings he saw the councilmember Ark for the first time and mistook him for the man, that had killed his friend. He tried to assassinate Ark and failed. Mr. Itiah claimed Mike had acted on his order, to show the class that you couldn’t let your guard down even for a moment. This saved Mike’s life, but Ark still ordered him to go to his friend KoTiel and offer himself for an experiment. KoTiel spiked Mike several times and afterwards sent him back to Ark. Ark questioned Mike about his powers, but Mr. Itiah stepped in a second time and ordered Mike to his sleeping quarters and assigned him therapy sessions.

@Voidus

I believe that advancing in skill is kind of a seperate thing. If you specify being a noncombatant or the like, that's a promise that in RP you will not be using your abilities in a way that makes them OP. Obviously this is a bit different, but I think it's a slightly similar thing. If you were to make it clear that you probably won't be super skilled with your abilities for a while and just ask for community approval when you do want that (which I'm about 86% sure you'll get) then I can approve the first one. Alternatively you can just use the second one, which is definitely approved.

Thanks a lot! I'll just use the second one. The other way is just more work for you, as you have to create a vote and all that, and I'm happy as long as I have the chance to develop him.

Points come out to 160, which is just a tiny tiny bit over. I think it's more or less fine, just add or remove a little something. How worried are we about canon compliance? The talent doesn't fit super well with how they traditionally are (I.e. Something that sounds bad but has lots of good stuff). Also, oracles lenses don't work like that iirc. I believe they give you very hazy information about the long term information. Also, only 2 or so exist. I'm unsure if these are problems that actually need to be fixed or not.

Ok. I mentioned earlier I was just going off Coppermind, because I haven't read the Alcatraz books. So if my interpretation of those things is incorrect and I need to change the character I can. Or at least probably the Oracle's lenses? Getting rid of the Oracle's lenses would remove 20 points. And it would remove the dependency on them. Would the rest of his weakness be worth 10 points? It would be left like this.

Weakness: Alan is quite scatterbrained at times, misplacing things and forgetting important details. His Talent both helps make up for this, whole also reenforcing the weakness because he has no reason to be more careful.

If my interpretation of things was fine, I could also keep everything and just add another weakness too.

Total. Give me a sec to check the bio.

Ok, I checked the Bio, I was wrong. Sorry about that, my notes were off. I thought you had put 10 points of skills in there when you didn't. You don't need as much weakness' as I thought.

Without any weapons= 83 (including weaknesses) +25 lighting claws + 8 for lightning bolter =  116 points.

You need 16 points of weakness'

Again, in total, or in addition?

If the compulsive desire to not be serious applies to actions as well as speech then that'd definitely be worth ten points. Being an underage drinker wouldn't be much of a weakness unless you mean they're an alcoholic.

It does, though to a lesser extent.

So, ideas for weaknesses.

-Cakuin is harmed by gaseous forms of Investiture, and can't go out in the mists or hold Stormlight infused gems. She would also be harmed by hitting or being hit by a Surgebinder holding Stormlight.

-Fear of the dark?

-Cannot be healed with Healing, or Regrowth, or any other Investiture fueled methods.

If 16 was total, could you please count up the weaknesses before doing this?

If it was in addition, add in easily angered, and obsessive.

I believe it is in addition, since it says 83 points without any weapons, including weaknesses.

Karn was right, it was in addition.

That should be fine, depending on what they are obsessive about, is it like they will chase down everyone who pisses them off and beat them up? Or they can't stand to leave lights on in a room.

I updated Allak a while ago.

Spoiler

Name: Allakn-Isal, originally Eleventh of the Dawn. He will usually prefer to be called 'Master Allak'.

Species: Unknown Hemalurgic Construct, formerly Eelakin.

Gender/Sex: Male

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Investiture:Four nicrosil spikes: Gravitation, Gravitation, Gemheart spike (with a stormform spren captured inside), and a Divine Breath.

  • One iron spike.

  • Two copper spikes, providing a genius intellect.

  • Linchpin (not really Investiture, but it is a spike).

  • Eight zinc spikes.

  • Telepathic communication between Yxares and Allak, provided by the Old Magic.

Weaknesses: While the non-zinc spikes are covered with carapace, the zinc spikes are inlaid in his skull like a crown, easy to remove (if you can catch him). Also, he cannot attack people, due to his Old Magic Bane. This Bane is shared by Yxares.  Finally, Allak is completely, utterly insane.

Equipment:

  • His Shardblade was once a normal Shardblade, but it has been corrupted through bonding Allak, and now it can split into two katana-like swords.

  • Language translator from the Ones Above.

  • Large supply of glowpaste.

Appearance:

  • Eyes: Square pupils, with an inner blood red iris and an outer sapphire iris.

  • Chitin covers his back in a plate, hiding his linchpin, gemheart, iron, and Divine Breath spikes, while his shoulders hide his Gravitation spikes, and the copper spikes are covered by small plates, which look slightly like horns, which point backwards, on the sides of Allak's temples.

  • His hair is a black/purple, about a foot and a half long, only on the top of his head, and always naturally Lashed upwards.

  • He always wears extremely nice, custom-tailored tweed suits.

  • About 7.5 feet in height (his bones were adjusted by the transformation to where they are strong enough to hold him as easily as normal bones hold a human).

Affiliation: The Bureau of Villany.

Theme Song: Requiem in D Minor K.626, Sequenz: Lacrimosa

Companion: Yxares the Nightmaw

Investiture:

  • Three spikes containing the spren which keep chasmfiends alive (he needs one to live and two to simply fly).

  • The regular mind sensing ability of nightmaws.

  • Two copper spikes, providing a genius intellect.

  • Five zinc spikes.

  • Same Old Magic Boon as Allak, telepathic communication.

Equipment:

  • Saddlecarriage, with nine places for passengers and ten unsealed ironminds, one for each passenger and a larger one for Yxares. On the top, a graphene dome covers the passengers, Awakened to produce oxygen. The floor carriage is lined with Orienter’s Glass on the inside and has small holes for the air to be pushed through, with Defender’s Glass on the outside.

  • Bloodforged Windstormer’s lenses set in front of his eyes.

The warder bond could potentially be problematic because it means you're usually going to have two fighters who you control in the same fight.
But for magic breakdown:
Warder: +5
Enhanced physical abilities: 85 (Equivalent approximately to Allomantic pewter Feruchemical gold twinborn but a little weaker than Feruchemical gold)
Blood-draining: 30 (Seems to roughly double the effects of the other abilities, it does depend a bit on how long this boost lasts)

Total: 120 M

Skills: Expert hand-to-Hand + 50, Average melee weapons + 35, amateur ranged weapons + 30, amateur thieving skills (Parkour) +10
Total: 125 S

Weakness: Sunlight -40 (Assuming this is relatively instantaneous), unskilled with heavy weapons -10, revenge -20 (Depends how heavily this is RP'd)

Grand total: 120 + 125 -70 = 175

Needs 25 more points of weaknesses.

A few things:

First, she is only good with handguns (Pistols, revolvers, etc.) She's bad with most other types of firearms (That's what I mean by heavy weapons.)

Second: Weaknesses!

Ok, good to know but does effectively the same thing to the point totals. Maybe only worth a -8 instead of a -10 but not really a big enough difference to bother updating :P
I'll let others score weaknesses.

Could you guys add my approved character profiles?

Also, I meant his @MacThorstenson: You have a maximum number of skil, and magic points, and all skill/gear, adds to the total for each. When the skill scale is full, it bleeds into the power scale, not the other way around. I has been brought to my attention that the point system works in the opposite direction, where you already have a certain number of points, and then all of your skill gear, and magic removes those points, and then if you don't use all the power, it goes into the skill total. Is this what you meant? If so, isn't she fine? Any other mods want to handle this?

Editting the OP takes a while so can't do it now but I'll do it when I get home if it hasn't already been done.
