Shardbearer99 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Hi I'm Hannah. I've never joined a fan site before so I'm not exactly sure how all this works. I absolutely love Brandon Sanderson, I have read almost all of his adult work, except Warbreaker and Elantris. But I'm going to change that soon. I finished wheel of time last summer and I really wanted to start something new. I decided to pick up way of kings. I mean it was written by the guy who finished WoT and I wanted to see how he writes for himself. Needless to say I absolutely fell in love with it. The characters, the writing, the plot. It was in my opinion the best book I've ever read. Unfortunately I had to wait for the sequel so I went and bought mistborn, within the first chapter I was already interested, I think I finished it within 3 days. Thankfully I bought the boxed set so I could start the sequel as soon as the day I finished the 1st. By the time I finished The Well of Ascension, steelheart was just released and my brother bought it so I decided to take a break from mistborn and read steelheart. It was fun and enjoyable, a entertaining light read, and I'm looking forward to Fireheart. I returned to the mistborn trilogy and finished it, it took me a very long time, I normally don't like finishing books, especially when it's the last in a series I love. After I finishing the hero of ages, which I was not impressed with how it ended (Maybe I was a little to attached to certain characters) I started the alloy of law. Which I loved more then steelheart. I can't wait for Brandon to continue on with that series. When all of this reading was done I realized I was not even a month a way from the Words of Radiance release. I quickly took up way of kings again, which I was surprised by how much stuff I missed the first time. And finished the day words of radiance came out. I got the book in the mail the morning of its release and took it up and read until it was very very late. I finished about 4 days later. I was blown away, I loved Way of Kings. But words of radiance was (in my opinion) 5 times better. I couldn't believe what I read. And as soon as I finished I wanted book three. And like all of you, I have to wait, hopefully not to long though. Anyway that's my journey with all of Sandersons writings. Like I've said before I can't wait to read Elantris and Warbreaker. They will soon be apart of my little library. Anyway sorry for writing for so long, but I love Brandon Sandersons books, and I wanted to share how I started my journey. 1
Claincy he/him Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Welcome to the site Hannah! Glad to have you join us, it's amazing how much there is in Brandon's books that you don't notice the first time you read them. The cosmere, blowing minds since 2005. 1
Shardbearer99 Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Thank you. Yes, it's almost like reading a new book each time.
Delightful Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Hi! It's actually one of my favourite things about Brandon's books, especially Sotrmlight Archive. You never get bored rereading, and the world is so deep because there's just SO MUCH information that it takes like ten times reading it to see most of what's going. So it's equally if not more awesome on rereads than the first time round. 1
Shardbearer99 Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 You couldn't be more right. One of my favorite books to reread are mistborn. There is so much plot to that book it's almost unbelievable. It blows my mind just to read it, it shows how talented Brandon is. I couldn't imagine writing it,
