Shoe did the same things as before.

I guess Shoe can pass the readiness test. Beosta certainly doesn't :P

The assassin only had a dagger, but dashed towards not Shoe, but Beosta. Rebus remained impassive, now standing behind Shoe.

Let's see... see how this |-| is different than this H? And actually, the current design looks more like this:

Shoe took up a defensive stance in-between the two, still exhausted from earlier.

Beosta cuddled up against him.

But it was actually a pillow, because Shoe was now trying to keep her from dying.

Beosta blinked blearily. Livetha jumped up and began chittering aggressively in her ear. What was that stoat on about?

Beosta cuddled up against him.

"You knew it would happen, I think - some prerequisite for escaping, whatever that is to be."

Alright. I'm sure it'll turn out well. Unrelatedly, I must go to bed now.

And that would be a strike against him, not that the assassins had much to offer other than surprise. Speaking of which... Rebus now held a knife, and attacked even as he because an assassin construct.

"Escaping," she repeated. Then light dawned in her eyes. "Right! Right. We got... got lost in my dungeons... sort of."

They saw the first person they'd seen since entering the door. A young girl wearing a green cloak hurried toward their pavilion with her head down, but she stopped when she saw them. Her face shifted to confusion, then fear.

AWW BOO.

Cep walks up to the first little house on the square. "Here goes." He knocks, and a short, dark-haired guy opens the door. "Hi!" Cep says.

"Do I know you?" The man replies.

"Guess not. Don't suppose yeh know anythin' 'bout any orbs?"

"No..." The man looks confused.

"Well, thanks for yer time." Cep waves and continues on to the next house.

"Um, Cep?"

Stikk, a legally distinct version of the critically acclaimed character from Words of Radiance, had finally bonded to a spren of his own. It had taken a mid-stick crisis for him to go from saying, “I am a stick.” to "Am I a stick?" This revelation was so shocking and profound that immediately a Cryptic showed up and gave him a Radiant bond for admitting the best lie that it had ever heard. Since then, Stikk had Lightweaved himself a body that looked mostly like a normal human (he didn't quite know what they were) and had managed to get through a perpendicularity with πe, or Pie, his bondspren. Now, they wander the lands as a really cool stick and his Shardblade that he couldn't use because sticks don't have hands, which is fine because although he was a stick, Stikk thought he might become more. He had made his way to Iri over the past 3 months, and was "sipping" his tea in a small shop. Mostly, he was just talking with the cup and waiting to see if any other so-called inanimate objects were in need of saving.

"You know what? We came here looking for people who knew the person in the figure. They might not know about the orbs."
