I know some of her deepest fears, since I share them. But I don't know everything about myself, and certainly not about her. He yelped, grabbed both bowls, and ran into the next room.

"I'm not sure if you're familiar with my contract, which I'll link below, but it contains cracks so wide that, with your help, causing her great emotional and even physical pain will be easy. The biggest limitation, you'll notice, was a mandate not to harm Rebus in any way. Causing him distress over Symbol's state--- distress that is not my fault--- will be up to you. You'll have to spin Symbol as collateral. I won't be able to help there. But otherwise, it's a whole world out there." She grinned. "If only I knew an engineer. Simple weapons like swords indeed."

The chair-mouse squeaked and scampered into one of Kohei's pockets.

She started them across the bridge. Almost immediately, souls grabbed onto the edges of the bridge and tried to haul themselves up, reaching for Holt and Kohei. Corysande hissed at them, and a few recoiled. Others kept clawing.
