Tam continued speaking in fragments, time skipping every time she tried to explain. It was- -won’t let- -trade- -kill you- -ritual- -takeover- -up. 
 

Rebus sighed. “I can’t seem to find another alternative, no matter what Desolation seems to believe. I suppose you could try to bring back the existence of communal characters, but that typically destroys characterization and thus your mind.”

“Because my goal is to be written it’s impossible for a side quest to be unrelated, but I have been doing frivolous ventures - the Authors simply tend to forget them. I’ve handed out deadly lasers and cursed swords, started two organizations, challenged people to ethics debates and sparring matches, mastered dozens of hobbies, founded an hotel and a planet, and attempted to accompany several different groups on quests. I’ve also subjected myself to a code of ethics and am attempting to get rid of my powers and give weak Narration to large groups instead, all in an effort to make my own goals more difficult. I do have a few secrets, but since I don’t lie I cannot elaborate or else I soon won’t.” 
Am I reading way too much into it, or is Symbol asking Rebus out on a date? 

I seem to have written myself into a corner - either I need to figure out how to scare Rose more, or Meat can just let her to the last room.
