"We'll see." She sighed through her nose. She led them down a hall and to a seemingly dead end. She placed her hand against the rock, though, and after a few moments, a blinding light seeped through the rough surface. Holt and Kohei w would have to look away.

And then the light exploded, and the wall was gone. They stood at the mouth of a huge, eternal cavern, magnificent and dark but somehow bright all at once. 

A huge, ghostly chasm stood before them, endlessly deep and haunted by the sound of rushing water. Faint wails could be heard, echoing around the space, which was really too large to be called a cavern. It had to go on for miles.

There were people, too, but none acknowledged them, and they were all eerily discolored. Their skin was almost grey, eyes pale and empty. They went about meaningless, mundane tasks. There was singing somewhere in the distance.

Corysande turned to them. "Welcome to the Underworld."

"Yes," called a voice above and behind. Nemesis grinned down from a ledge, standing next to a girl who looked very, very annoyed. "Welcome to the Underworld."

Nemesis tilted his head, crouching to jump off and down to the ground. He grabbed the girl and pulled her down too. She yelped, but at the last second, an orange, fiery light flashed to catch her. Nemesis needed no such aid.

He chuckled a little. "Yeah. But someone who trained with my parents pointed out that it 'subverts the economy' so I try not to use it around her. It's not bad that she said it or anything, she uses her body fat to make stuff."
