"Same. So thank you."

Well, yes, but what favor, then? Did she go there looking for a favor?

ehe

you could be Charybdis, if Haly doesn't want to :D

mmmm other than that . . . you could be pretty much anything.

Currently we have an ex-goddess, a male dryad (called a drus), and a fairy.

So . . .

Do whatever you want :D

". . . Oh man. Okay."

AWWW

She smiled for him. "It's nice to have a friend."

He definitely agreed.

"Yeah. Oh! We're almost there-"

Ahead of them was a rocky mountain path- covered in lots of loose rubble.

"Um . . . you still sure you're up for this? How do you feel?"

She didn't feel great, if she was being honest to herself.

But she was fine enough.

She could make it.

Probably.

Maybe.

Enrik moved restlessly in her pocket.

"Yeah, I'm doing great. Let's do this."

It came to her suddenly that they were holding hands. Her face turned very, very red. She could hear her own heartbeat, and suddenly she felt ready to explode. She didn’t know whether or not to let go.

Holt had been uncomfortable with this for a while. He didn't want to be rude, but she also wasn't letting go on her own . . .

Well, shoot.

He noticed her expression.

Raven smacked his arm. “Twelve!”

Starlight shrugged. “It’s fine, I understand.”

Raven looked in her rear view mirror. “No, it’s not. Apologize, Twelve!”

Chaisler emerged through a portal, gasping. Blazes, what had happened to him? His memories were gone, entirely, except that his name was Chaisler. He had nothing else, except a vague sense of dread and a feeling that he had a mission, but what, he could not remember.

He stumbled onto the beach, falling onto the sand, panting, some twenty feet from Tam and Bat.

cuz I'm bored and wanna shake things up, here's Stone with his mind wiped appearing near Bat and Tam.

. . . Oo okie

They're on a boat, btw, but I'll assume he's there now.

So did he and Mist and the other one get out? ;)

She turned and her eyes went wide.

He went flying into the water.

uh yeah sure

whatever

Chaisler spluttered, swimming desperately to the surface. Blazes, what was that? It must've been a . . . the words failed him. Something he had once regarded with dread. The swimming felt good though. He must've been good at this before.

She stared at him in the water, debating whether or not to kill him again.

. . . Is this some sort of joke? Who are you? she asked him.

“Uh—“ she squeaked, then coughed. She broke away to cover her cough—and to cover the fact that she was pulling away. She didn’t want to hurt his feelings—or for him to get the wrong idea, or…

”Yeah,” she squeaked.

Why the heck are you trying to kill me!? he shouted right back. I don't even know who I am!

That was true . . .

She eyed him suspiciously, but didn't do anything else.

There was a little ladder on the back of the boat near him.

They started walking over the loose rocks.

He climbed the ladder, dripping water everywhere, and stood unsteadily, facing the blonde girl. He frowned, noticing his clenched hands, and released them. Are you a . . . he found himself at a loss for words.

would be a real shame if she were to fall...

. . .

She looked down at the rocks as she walked.

Just in case.

She wasn't going to fall, though.

She was fine.

"So, uh, Nick..."

Had the trees always been so squiggly?

"I don't feel so--"

The rocks beneath her feet shifted.

"Ack!"

He caught her and pulled her closer to the cliffside. Just like before, she felt like she was touching a big wall of pillows, though his initial grip when he pulled her back had been far firmer.

"Careful."
