Bead took off as soon as Cadewyn was on him and easily outflew the roc.

Eepy grabbed his face immediately, sounding very happy with whatever it was she was saying. She was speaking very fast.

"Slow down, Eepy. What are you saying?"

"Yeah, that happens sometimes." he glanced at the GPS. "Hey Maddie, if I switch to the map again, will it navigate back to you?"

She sighed. "Let's just go."

“Just a little. With the banana in the training room.”

He frowned. “Good question.”

She blinked.

“Good - that means I’m doing my job sufficiently.”
*shug* I say that kind of thing in real life too.

“I don’t think the action will change you, though the choice might. I made my choice - I’m much happier because of it.”

Mirrors are lashing out, hiding away, becoming like her parents, and running away with Cricket.
“The Machination can be hired by essentially anyone, though the more complicated the job the more valuable the payment must be. They’re mercenaries, technologically and magically augmented by the organization. They used to be tightly managed, but leadership has gone downhill and there’s approximately three different groups of people calling themselves the Machination.”
Rebus waited for Lady Bug to stop being a statue and begin yelling at him.

“I have not explored my capabilities. It is my impression that Ennulling can undo and revert, bringing this site back to its previous state.”
Um, is that a thing Ennullers can do? Anyway, I think the orb shouldn’t be able to Ennull externally without difficulty, since it’s so strong otherwise.

Ennulling cannot bring back what has been lost, said the ennuller wistfully. But the damage, at least, should be easy enough to clear away.

". . . True . . . well, I could go, if you want to stay."

She hesitated. “I…. I guess……” she didn’t want to be alone. “I’ll come…”

He paused, thinking for a moment. "Could be a good idea."

He followed, still taking wrong turns as her directions weren't the best

let the tired man have fun

he pulled up to the area, putting the vehicle in park and stepping out. "What were you doing in a place like this?"

She rolled her eyes.

"I certainly wasn't planning on letting you go first, that's for sure."

It was a bit of a tight fit, but not too bad.

She shimmied into the cavern beyond.
