She waited a moment, then shrugged.

Truthfully, she didn't want him in there . . . but she also didn't want to make anyone else angry with her . . .

-

She didn't say anything, though she was relieved that he was back.

-

Great.

"Oh, uh, hey. Good morning."

Aden hesitated, then sighed and left.

He refused to blame himself. He didn't know what the heck was going on, and he couldn't think of a single thing he'd done that he could actually be blamed for.

So why did he feel so awful?

-

"Tam, did you hear me?"

-

Symbol grinned, then vanished.

Irie was relieved, and went and hid in a small cupboard before anyone else could walk in on her crying.

-

Yes, she whispered.

Aden went to find a tucked-away corner of the plane to go through his possessions. He kinda wanted to break everything, but he didn't do it.

-

"Well? Don't you have anything to say?"

“Morning.” She stretched, wincing.

"How's your side?"

She winced, feeling like a child.

I'm sorry . . . she said again. I- I could fix the buildings if you want me to . . .

He dragged his hands down his face. "I just can't believe you would...." He didn't finish.

"We have to get them back."

"Oh. Uh, how bad does it hurt?" he asked, pulling a little leaf bundle out of his pocket.

“A lot.” She groaned, rolling onto her unhurt side.

We can't, she muttered sadly. But there are still a few left in the caverns . . .

Ohhh yeah that makes sense :P

He unfolded the leaf and handed her on of the smaller leaves inside.

"Eat that. Should help . . ." Assuming her body worked similar to his.

"No. There's not. Don't think about that." He kicked a rock, frustrated. He couldn't believe she'd go and do something like this. He was sorely tempted to shake Herby her shoulders until her brain came back to her. Either that, or bang his head into a tree until he forgot everything.

"So what now?"

She shrugged and rested her forehead on her knees.

Whatever you want to do.

He turned to look at her, unsure what to say.

“You doing alright?”

If we try to save them, they'll die.

He growled, frustrated. “There has to be something we can do.”

"Well, you needed it if you wanted the pain to go away, so . . ." He shrugged.
