He hit the roof with a dull thud, not breaking through this time.

Then he stood up and dusted himself off. Because he figured introductions were necessary and he didn't want to be beheaded for disrespecting whoever's roof this was.

"I was a guy, once. Now I'm a once-author. Not the Once-Author, he's the one who stabbed me in the chest. I'm not sure if he died in the process but I think he may be back up there doing his author-y things. I tried to kill him, ya know. But he was dang resilient. But yeah, you could say I'm an Author of sorts."
