The Render of Worlds opened his eyes. He was somewhere new.

Panicking, he felt around frantically for his power. Had it worked?

He found it almost silly that he was reassured at the absence of his power. Except… there was a small amount left… Just barely enough, as if he had become a mortal Render.

Honestly, it would be cool if this guy became an Ennuller or some sort of Dark powered person, tho I’m not sure how possible that is.

Alright. I plan to actually go to sleep at a reasonable hour tonight, so I'll respond to that tomorrow.

The light hit Malevolence's backplate and was nullified harmlessly. "True evil does not need to be showy." Malevolence leaped into the air after Rebus, shoulder cannons blasting all the drones, sword swinging for the utility fog beneath Rebus's feet.

"Ah. I assume you don't get off-screen things, but that still could be useful. I suppose we should go on a short quest, for our bait. I believe the Book of Endless Pages is found in Onyx's realm." 

"If you really would like me to drop the showmanship, I'd be glad to." Utility fog locked together at Malevolence's wrists, ankles, and throat, lifting him into the air. Rebus smiled, and his Plotblade, still at his side, glowed brighter yet. "You can get one, I assume, but the others will teleport away objects in their vicinity if they lose contact. Objects like your head, though I may even put you back together." 

Rebel woke up to the voice in his head. "Power? Sounds good to me..."

Ooh, I can do that! He wouldn't be an Ennuller, per say, but he'd get some Ordered Dark nonetheless.

Yea, that’s what I was thinking. Although… not sure if chaotic dark would fit more…

Do you think you could get it? Onyx is an opponent I would hesitate to face even at full strength. Nameless fuzzed further, as if going out of focus. Erif may soon depart on a quest. We could offer him aid, bring him here, then leak the location to Malevolence. The tricky part will be ensuring the quest happens in a reasonable timeframe.

"You think I'm incapable of locking my armor against teleportation?" Malevolence's face was totally hidden behind his faceplate, and the acoustics of the helm stole any subtext of his voice that might have given away a bluff. "Easy enough when working with Nullite." Despite his words, he made no move to cut himself free.

Yes, power. The room had changed substantially since Rebel had fallen asleep. For one, it was filled entirely with treasure of all kinds. For another, there were a surprising amount of skeletons surrounding the raised dais Rebel had been asleep on. We must go somewhere where there are more people. A kingdom of some kind would be best.
