Cricket sighed, folding the piece of paper and tucking it into his pocket. It was good enough for now. He got up, and grabbed Rose's guitar, and began to strum slowly, playing a simple melody.

Five wrapped her blanket around herself. The light here was calmer, warmer. Steady. Everything just flowed past. It was… nice.

She frowned. “Oh. You seem fine to me. But I’m not exactly people, I guess…”

Five, on the other hand, liked it. Hearing other humans talk to each other was so strange… but sweet in a way she couldn’t quite grasp. She hugged her blanket and smiled, just a tiny bit.
