“You have a moon?”

"Yeah. My older brother's Fate, but they're more intertwined than you would imagine. You three meeting? Luck."

Soliel beamed and hugged her. “Thank you!! I haven’t seen people in so long!!”

She made a face, then looked around and whispered, “How lucky would I have to be to make these two stay forever? Especially the nice one with the tattoos?”

She raised an eyebrow. "They don't belong here. Fate wouldn't like it."

She shrugged and floated sadly on her back.

Lady Luck smiled, and whipped out some cards, and began to perform card tricks for Bat.

"Yes, but with a few extra powers. Mainly, over Luck."

He summoned his strength, as his knees caved, and slammed a blast directly at the creature's head.

-

"Don't believe me?" she fished a coin out of her pocket, and tossed it through the water perfectly. Not only did it defy every physics, and flip as a coin above air would, it landed on its side on a rock.

He sighed. "Thanks." he said. "But my energy isn't coming back.

Bye!!

Scud you

She beast reeled back for a moment and roared again.

1 hour ago, Halcyon The Only said:

How come?

She said a very interesting word. “You sure you can’t give me a weapon?”

-

Soliel looked fascinated.

“Nice,” Bat acknowledged.

The corner of her mouth turned up.

. . . No reason.

1 hour ago, TwinStorm said:

"I... uh. Okay, but the longer you keep it, the more energy I'll lose. I trust you... listen, just kill the monster." he said, making her a longsword out of pure darkness.

-

"Interesting, isn't it? How lucky we all are? I control it all."

1 hour ago, Halcyon The Only said:

She nodded. “I’ll be careful. Thanks.”

She charged the monster and buried the sword into its belly (or tried to, depending on how @Through The Living Glass feels about that).

-

“Really?” Soliel asked, fascinated.

She chuckled. “Quite. I consider myself rather good at being a villain.”

I'm fine with y'all hurting it :D

The thing roared in pain.

Tam raised an eyebrow

13 minutes ago, Halcyon The Only said:

"Yeah." He glanced at Tam. "How... how much can you do?"

She scoffed.

Exactly the same amount.

Cricket staggered, white faced. He didn't dare stop fueling Rose's weapon, but she needed to end this soon.

He frowned, but decided not to press her.

Rose yanked it out and swung again, aiming to cut for its heart.

Bat nodded. Made sense to him.

Isn't Cricket supposed to save her? :P

Tam sighed and drifted slowly to the floor.

why not

Cricket staggered forward, destroying her sword. He needed to get to her. He needed to... he staggered over to where she lay, standing over her and facing the monster. "No." he said softly. "Get away from her." And he began to glow with darkness.

HOW LINGN IS THIS TAUL—

*sigh*

Rose winced. Her shoulder— She tried to heal it, but it wasn’t working.

IT WASNT WORKING!

Scudditscudditscuddit she was gonna die.

How does one "glow with darkness"? 🤔

. . . I won't think about it too much.

The beast roared in his face.

@TwinStorm what's going on with Lady Luck?

Rebus tilts his head to the side is a “perhaps” shrug. “I suppose so. She can die and you cannot, so if you do end up outmatched or merely taken by surprise by the Ennulling grenades, that would be problematic. Though I suppose we could bring you back.” He smiles. “Causally duels would be interesting, actually, once we cover fighting. Villain combat is fun - you get to casually backhand people, or use your powers to the same effect while you stand there looking scary.”

"I cannot die? That is news to me." Malevolence looked intrigued. "Is there a reason for this supposed immortality?"

The man finally managed to regain his sword, blessing the luck that had kept Cricket's beam of darkness from hitting him. With effort, he pulled the blade free from the monster's head, then stood, stabbing the sword down into the beast's skull with all of his might.

Its skull was quite thick, but it did hurt a lot.

The beast shook its head and tried to figure out what had hurt it.

Rebus nods. “I do. I Narrated a deserted star system into existence, picked one, and dropped a nanomachine onto the surface. A few hours later, I had an excessively large base.” He grins. “I’m considering developing the area more, actually. I’ll want to keep my important projects and guests away from my experiments, considering the immense destruction they could result in.”

“The other way around, actually. She could die without being destroyed, whereas you would be dead.”
