She tapped his head with her tail fin and jumped into the trees, making her way along the branches.

Cadewyn smiled and followed Eepy on the ground.

After a little while, the trees ended and Eepy had to walk on the ground, scampering between bushes and through patches of long grass.

"Why are you trying to sneak Eepy? You could always ride my shoulder and just point where to go."

“Yay!” She came back and jumped up. “My feet hurt,” she complained.

"I'm sorry your feet hurt." He adjusted her a bit so he could still reach his sword. "How far out are we?"

“Perhaps. What do you need?” The standing shadowy figure ignores the furniture, as the Ghost is actually sitting down.

"I would just hoping to learn a bit about you and your origins, and more specifically, about the conflict you're involved in, and your views on the matter." Sequence took a bag of leaves from her basket, inspecting it for a moment before nodding and fishing a few cups out of the basket. "Would you like some tea?" She asked with a friendly smile.

“Not far! See that ridge? That’s  where it is!”

"Good. Is there anything to watch out for? Will they try to attack me?" He paused, eyeing the ridge cautiously.

"Great. Ok. Let's go." He drew his sword and approached the edge of the ridge.

It was steep, and entered a huge ravine that sprawled forward. There were many caves in the rock walls.

“Shh,” she whispered. “Okay, let’s climb down.”

"Sure" he resheathed his sword quietly and started down the cliff face.

Anything he would see with his magic heat eye?

Prolly just dragons inside the caves and the rock

Ok.

He climbed down the cliff face, slipping once or twice, till he reached the bottom.

"Now what? Should I try to talk to them?"

The water gurgled.

”Hi!”

Bat jumped and looked around wildly, but nobody was there.

She ducked and stabbed it.

Tam jerked in the water, accidentally inhaling a little.

She turned upright and started coughing, but waved to Bat that she was okay. When she was done, she looked around to try and find who had spoken.

-

The monster's thick hide wasn't affected.

The man held on desperately with one hand, stabbing his sword down into the monster’s head before being flung off violently, losing his grip on both the monster and his sword.

It growled and attempted to stomp on him, but the sword stayed in its head.

The man rolled away from the monster, cursing softly. From his cloak he pulled a loaded crossbow, shooting it at the monster's face.

“Probably. Don’t go in the caves— just call in.” She peered at one that was only eight feet tall. “Try this one.”

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you!” The words came from a rush of bubbles rising from the deep. “I just haven’t had company in ages…”

The eyes! Of course.

Rose ran in front of the creature, waving.

Tam's eyes went wide, and she swam quickly for the shore a short distance away.

Its attention focused on her, and its head lunged for her.

“Wait, wait! No, I— I haven’t seen anyone in years! Please? Just come in for a bit?”

She grinned and jumped, grabbing onto the horns.

@NameIess I missed ur post so

She narrowed her eyes at him. “Clearly you don’t care enough about yourself to keep your mouth shut.”

Well I missed yours until now, so we're even.

"No, I am merely confident in my ability to handle whatever you do." Malevolence grinned cockily.

The man took the opportunity to regain his feet and pull a crossbow bolt out. He began reloading as quickly as he could, hoping the monster would stay distracted.

Rose waved from the head to make sure he saw her and wouldn’t hit her.

Tam didn't care. She hopped right out and offered a hand to Bat.

They were smooth and hard to grab onto, and the beast shook its head wildly.

He hesitated again, then sighed and took her hand. He got out and grabbed his shirt very quickly.

“No, wait!” A girl swam up from the bottom, just under the surface. She didn’t emerge, but they could hear her perfectly. “I haven’t seen anyone in years…”

-

She wrapped her legs around the horn, then stabbed the creature in the eye.
