"Thank you Eepy." Cadewyn went down to the bank and stabbed the scabbard of his sword a few inches into the mud, the strap hanging off of it. He hung his coat on the hilt.

How much is Eepy going to... Ok, how embarrassing is this going to get depending on Eepy's questions, or will she let Cadewyn bathe in peace?

She'll leave him alone, don't worry :P

She eyed his sword and nibbled it.

"Excellent." Balitan waited until Rebus was gone, then pulled the mysterious object from his lab coat. He touched the Prismite again, creating some highly specialized equipment and scanners. Then he began running tests. Now that he finally had Primsite, it was time to see exactly what this mysterious thing was.

"Most interesting." Malevolence's eyes moved across his classmates. "Perhaps we could have a better icebreaker. What are your evil goals?"

"What do you think?" She snapped.

Just now, Through The Living Glass said:

Yeah, I am

You okay?

The monster roared and turned towards them.

Tam stood and offered Bat a hand.

Nope :D

Rose held her sword ready.

-

Bat took her hand. "Thanks."

"What do you think?" She snapped.

"I could never hope to understand your primitive minds." Malevolence said arrogantly. "I could guess. Perhaps you wish to gain prestige in the Machination, and eventually take over the organization?"

As an aside, he pressed a few buttons, sending a message to the one-time servant of Malan who'd offered to swear fealty to him.

I am available to accept your allegiance now.

"Don't bite that scabbard too much Eepy. It's made of ebony and I don't want to damage it top much." He stripped off his dirty clothes and dropped them on the hilt of his sword too. He pulled a fresh set out of his satchel and left them on top of it. Taking his soap out of the satchel he went further into the river and bathed.

His scars ached in the cold water. They covered him, a few on his back, a few on his chest. More on his legs, especially his shins, and by far the most on his arms. The most prominent was a burn scar on his left shoulder.

They all hurt. They always did if it the temperature changed too fast. Or if the humidity changed, as they stretched differently from the rest of his skin.

He finished, then started washing his clothes.  Once done with that, he simply flared fire all across his body, drying him in a moment and getting dressed again.

He felt better, clean and dry, the nightmare washed off.

She nodded and helped him up.

She dodged its stomps and slashed its leg.

"You wanna... I dunno, go for a walk or something?"

Cricket appeared in the doorway. Nobody had been in the house. He saw Rose in danger and panicked. "Rose!" he shouted.

He appeared in a black cloak. "Alright." he said, striding forward, kneeling on one knee. "What are your wishes, master?"

That didn't really do anything to the creature.

It roared at her, the sound of it deafening.

She nodded.

The way it should be." He pulled his sword out of the mud and cleaned the end of the scabbard with a rag. "Ok. Breakfast?"

He ducked out of his way, trying to teleport. Storms... it didn't work. It had been second nature for him for years to portal, and it failed him now? He swore. What was wrong with him?

He summoned another energy spike and tried the same tactic.

It roared again, but the energy didn't really seem to have much of an effect on it.

It tried to step on him again, annoyed, and snapped at him with its huge jaws.

Why's it not working?

"What, spot on? Or completely wrong? Perhaps you evil goal is simply to never speak again. You seem to dislike doing so." Malevolence turned to the hunter. "This class is useful, although you should stay away from Ruia. Her powers spread easily, and I would prefer you to remain uncontaminated by them."
