She rested a hand on the side of his head. "Or maybe you do know, but you refuse to see those moments for what they are."

sorry for not being on TLT for a long while, I went through a depression wave and I've been trying to figure out how to get back into TLT. My thoughts have been mightily and thoroughly jumbled and I don't know if I like where the plot's goin' y'know.

He screamed. A raw primal sound ripped out from his throat as he relived it all in one moment. The scars on his arms blazed with pain and fire. He grabbed the woman and threw her out of the house then froze looking at Eepy, his scream echoing in his ears into a roar as fire consumed him.

He bolted upright, hearing the echo of his scream in the night, his eye blazing as bright as a captured star.

He was in a tree. Eepy was there. Alive. He crumpled in on himself and slipped out of the tree, thudding to the ground below. It didn't hurt. Nothing could hurt. Not as much as that.

He pushed on Eepy gently. Fire was pulsing just beneath his skin. He could see it in the veins glowing blue under his skin. He pushed her off his shoulder. Keep her safe. Find water.
