Faunus really hopes he had made an effort to include the three elephants, which she had taken care to stack rather nicely.

"I know of the Dreamsmith, but tell me, can he be shifted into evil? I have visions, visions of a grand army, armed with the finest the Thread can offer. My Author, however, does not seem to trust me with his location, or too much knowledge of him."

Rebus prime laughs. “What would you do with this grand army? Have you ever tried to control a large group of villains? Their fundamental nature includes backstabbing each other. But the Dreamsmith already has an evil counterpart, who must kill people to create blades from their entire souls. There’s also the Witherlord, some demon whose name I forgot, and Desolation, who as you can see is back.”

"It should not. Also, communication into Ragnorok is near impossible. What do you know of the Dreamsmith?"

Malan grinned, teleporting him to the place.

"Alright." he walked toward the pavilion.

It was a bleak beach hut on yhe shores of a dark sea. The door was open.

3 minutes ago, Dragonheir said:

Rebus nods thoughtfully. “I was thinking it could be instantaneous, so door would be closer than trains… I’ll think on it.”

“That sadly means we cannot give the Render a power up. I do not communicate into Ragnorok, but I - or, the original, rather - can read the Thread, which communicates out. And the Dreamsmith makes you an item that fulfills your stated needs if you can pass Omen’s trial. You cannot communicate out of the trial, however, so all your plans would have to be on hold or handled by deputies.”

“Yes! Doors!”

Malevolence. Then you failed again? I warned you, failure is not tolerated.

The figure turned, slapping Palsu across the face, sending him flying. To the side, Perseus leapt at him, unsheathing his knives, and striking.

He laughed. "If you wish for a challenge, fight Platypus. He wields Vengeance, after all. No, I am here for power."

"You are here for power?" Desolation scoffed. "Ah yes. The infinite pursuit of power."

The body of this version of Rebus crumbles away, leaving a small CPU-like box, complete with pulsing orange lights. Rebus, standing behind the Scribe, smiles. “Space efficient. Just Narration and a chunk of my soul. You can put me in the wall, I suppose.”

“The removal of the Narration was not the counter against your Plotblade. What may be is indeed not truth, but it does involve planning. Thus, what is to be done with me and what I am to do is separate from the main machination of the original.” He smirks.
Which Rebus is the Foreshadowing string tracking? What does that do?

IT may depend on which one is the main one- it'll likely follow Rebus'.

"Inklings have ways around that." Desolation smiled maliciously.

I'm competent. You're just new to this. If you must, however. My assassins will come for you. You know too much. I hope you survive, and wreak much evil and vengeance.

Perhaps if you'd given me more information about your plans, I would have been able to see your supposed competence. Regardless, I will not negotiate. Let your assassins come. I will deal with them. Goodbye.

Malevolence ended the communication, then spun around to his computer. How had his machine been disabled? Had the Nullite been used up? He had been operating the field at a significantly higher power level than in his tests. A quick check of the ruined machine told him this had not been the case, although it did appear that he'd used far more than his calculations had indicated. I'll need to secure a stable supply if I'm to scale this up. He thought to himself. Since it hadn't been the Nullite, it must have been something else. A quick review of the footage revealed the true culprit.

Malevolence sat back in his chair. "So..." He said thoughtfully. "Bat. The one Malan ignored. Who would've thought you'd be the one to ruin my plans?" He smiled evilly. "This warrants more research."

Ah. That does make sense. Where did those Plotblades actually get found, anyway? I heard Plotblades were often quested for.

Endings was found offscreen, and seems to have mysteriously appeared in Moni's possession. Vengeance was taken from Plot's corpse, I believe it was the weapon he used while he was alive. Antagonist and Protagonist have not been found, and cannot be claimed except by somebody who aligns with their intent.

“Wait, you’re telling me, this is a three elephant problem?” Faunus asked, aghast, then shrugged.

Two more stones coincidentally dropped on top of the first stone elephant, the next two also elephants, although slightly smaller so they stacked nicely. Either way, it was a lot of weight, and blood slowly started to seep out from under the first elephant.

Palsu stood up. "Great! He's dead. Shall we go before more enemies find us?"

Art from the incredible @LessName. It's the dress Subversion wore at Sequence's party. She didn't like the Subversion she drew in it, so I just have the dress.

There are now four version of Rebus: Rebus, who is the main one and is in several places at once; a version mind-controlled by the Entoturis security system, Rebus prime, and soulless duplicates he made while he was at the Dreamsmith.

“I am still not a Narrator, and my relative size to the inkling and whatever you are is not specified. You are scheming against the wrong person. You’re a designated antagonist to heroic characters, which means no matter what you do, you will lose. You cannot kill Perseus, or Moni, or Faunus, because they have plot armor! Which means if you want to win, you need your Author on your side. That is my plan. Already, I didn’t include Kion in my list of characters with plot armor. I think anything that isn’t on Nameless’s about me is unclaimed. Love Triangles is in Platypus’s possession, I think, but I think that is it. Significantly, Protagonist and Antagonist are floating around waiting to be claimed.
