Would you guys want to tag along for @Thee insane's and my storyline?

It's 80's inspired and both our characters (my character 'Ashton': 16 years old, Thee Insane's character 'Atlas': 10 years old) are on the run from the cops because of certain reasons (my character's reason being because he ran away from home due to abuse from his parents and Atlas' reason being because my character is a sort of older brother figure that took Atlas on as a companion). We just thought it would be cool to add people to the story.

If you have any questions, we can make a Private message with all of us so we can converse about it.

The power is essentially using their own brain to stop their actions. A more derogatory term for Mind - the Notblade that powers this - is Parasite.

“Ah. The mind control. Blocking Narration and other potentially dangerous abilities should be fine. The restraining-bolt-ness should decrease after that; perhaps use feelings of compulsion or revulsion that can be fought past. And of course, reverse psychology is always helpful.” He smiles. “If your Mind blade is autonomous, we can solve several problems by having it also direct a clone of me. If I can turn it off, of course.” 
Rebus almost interferes with Malevolence’s attack, but realizes it would simply complicate things. His Author was about to sleep, regardless.

Ashton catches himself from laughing out loud and he gives Atlas a look that says, are you kidding me?  "Those dirtbags want nothing more than to hurt you. It's their job. To go after people they don't like. And unfortunately for us, we're those people." He takes a few fast steps ahead. and turns around to look at Atlas, but continues walking backwards. "See though. We didn't do anything bad, right? But that's why those cops, that you, for some damn reason, think  are 'helpers', are nothing more than dirtbags." He stops suddenly right in front of Atlas, to catch her off guard, letting her slam into him. "Now you listen here squirt." He says getting real close to Atlas' face. "That's why I'm here. They ever get near you... I use the ol' bat right here." He chuckles, patting the sheathed bat on his back. But then his face gets hard again. "You promise me though. That if they ever do get to me. You WON'T. And I mean it. Won't stay to watch. You will run. Because, so help me God. If they ever get to you. something bad'll happen. I just know it." He gets back up and turns around, and without another word, he begins to walk again.

A shrill scream gradually came into focus. A young girl, maybe 12 or 13, fell from the sky and crashed hard to the ground, unmoving. Her long black hair splayed around her.

Ashton tosses his hands upward clenching his jaw. "Go ahead. 'Try'. " He says muttering to himself as he turns around. You catch something about how he's sorta glad he didn't have any other younger siblings growing up.
