Bat frowned at the papers. "You need to eat more red meat, but... besides that, you're... fine."

"Er- okay . . . That's it?"

4 minutes ago, Halcyon The Only said:

so like will he start coughing? How long will it take?

"You're... definitely poisoned."

Tam groaned and put her face in her hands.

3 minutes ago, Ookla the Irreplaceable said:

Yeh soon. The poison will kill him in around a week

He swore softly. “How long?”

"I mean . . . we don't know that you're going to die, right?"

Just now, Halcyon The Only said:

"Let's get some sleep. And we'll talk tomorrow, okay?"

"What? Whoa, okay, hang on, you can't just put something like that off, Bat."

Just now, Ookla the Irreplaceable said:

He sighed. “Bat, it’s fine. Just tell me. How long?”

"He needs sleep! And so do you."

"A WEEK?!"

"Um . . ." she shrugged. "Dunno."

Kaladin, anyone?

She hugged him back aggressively after Bat told them.

"We'll figure something out," he promised. "But you guys are tired, so you gotta get some sleep."

Something about the current situation bothered him, but he wasn't sure what it was .

Oh, he'd left the blood open. Right. He capped it and put it on his bag.

Oh, nothing that he would be able to articulate :D

"Oh! Yes. Yes, do that."

Narrators were actually pretty handy."

A great lightning bolt flashed two words and two punctuation marks.

Believe, Tam.

. . . Huh?

Then she shook her head.

Authors.

Plus, that sentence used a comma, a period, and not a single exclamation mark.

All three of which were punctuation marks.

"What was that lightning bolt? What are you supposed to believe?" Bat frowned and petted his lil bird.

Oh, ok. But they do have physical cores… I know Ennullers and Narrators do, at least.

47 minutes ago, SpiritOfWrath said:

Eeehhhhh

Depending on the Ennuller, they might have become on by Nullite poisoning, meaning traces of Nullite are present in the blood, so with enough…

The Constant laughed softly. “I don’t… I don’t change. I can’t die, and when I am hurt… it just… doesn’t matter to me.”

He shifted.

”This has been unsettling, but it is not the most ‘useful’ part of my powers. You see, when any of my genetic material enters the system of any other person, they… they change. It takes over. Not the mind… but it might. The person gains all of my abilities, and if I exert myself, I can,” he shrugs, “control them. And if they are willing, the genetic material takes over their mind completely. They become one very similar to me, but slightly different.”

Sagerian’s eyes widen as he rapidly writes in the book. “That happens with contagions, I hear. They change to each other, somehow. Traveling scholars called the process plasmid exchange. Their explanations are vague, though. Most think we’re not supposed to know these things.” He seems unfazed by the immortality and mind control part, though.

She blinked at the sky. "I have no idea at this point."

Feather appreciated being pet, and dropped a fancy-looking rock into Bat's lap.

As far as I know, yeah.

A happy little cloud floated. It made shapes!

“The problem, though, is that the change is never exact. They gain access to all my knowledge and experience, but don’t necessarily have to cling to the same world views that I do.”

Sagerian jots that down. “Ah. And they can propagate the transformation as well, which could be … undesirable. But it transmits your skills? Backwards, or only forwards?”

Haly yes 😂

Except his bag was suddenly missing.

-

Tam looked away from the clouds uncomfortably.

Bat frowned, sudden incredibly violent (for Bat) emotions spreading in his chest like a glowstick had cracked. "Tam? Can I have it back, please?"

--

Sry : )

A small glass sphere dropped to the ground in front of her.

She looked over at him. "Have what back? . . . Oh!"

She took the little elastic band off her arm and held it out to him.

"There you go."

-

"Eep!" What did I ever do to you?! Leave me alone!

“It’s the way of things. It taught me control, and… I haven’t let go of it, not even against Stone. Because if I did, I knew I wouldn’t be able to get it back under control.”

“Fine.” Cricket said, distracted, putting his head in his hands. “What’s your name anyway?”

Mark.

Sagerian doesn’t write it down just then, as that would be rude, but he commits the strange phenomenon to memory.

Rebus gives the wind a flat stare. “My goal doesn’t have to be the preservation of the reality I live in? That is a necessary sub-goal for almost every possible desire!”

"The goal of the Witherlord doesn't have to be the dissolution of the Thread."

"Thank you." Malevolen-er, not-Malevolence said. "What can you teach me of evil? I wish to understand everything about it, to discover every secret of the universe and use them all for myself."

"Indeed it is. A very happy occasion."

"Ah! Congratulations. I am happy to be able to officiate your ceremony." The Priest looks around the room. "Where is the groom? I'd like to congratulate him as well."

Subversion shook her head. "No, no. I said you could pick the name. If you think 'Hero' is a good name, then that's the name he'll be stuck with." She frowned. "I wonder what's keeping those Enullers? I would've thought they'd have somebody ready to train with me by now."

"Outsourcing... that is a good idea. I shall look into this." He nodded. "Regardless, your trial is over. Its point was to teach you of the dangers that come with tinkering with the fundamental forces of TLT, and to see how you would react in the face of utter disaster. Your quick thinking to prevent the withergeists from finding their way into reality has proven you worthy to see the Dreamsmith." Mist surrounded Rebus, and when it cleared he found himself standing in the Dreamsmith's forge.

656 gave Subversion a look. "It's... been five minutes."

3 hours ago, Ookla the Irreplaceable said:

"Alright."

"No. Not since Telse. Not since Welderan. Not since Stone."

He looked at the Enuller. "Could they? And, what's your name, again?"

The Constant sighed as he realized what had happened, then gave a small explanation. It would be what the man was here for, judging by his reaction.

“I’m not like other life forms,” he started, staring at the man.

@xinoehp512
Tenth had forgotten where he was.

sorry, over break I was kinda bad.

They were talking about what he was going to do about the stuff in his system, right?
