The pain fluttered to the ground, and several rabbits went to investigatively taste it. They found it quite tasty.

Hacob had never tried pain before. It could be good... Nah, he'd let the rabbits have it.

Platypus sat in his base. He examined his pen, which was, to his knowledge, the first tool from the Dreamsmith. All of the things he'd seen had been weapons or other such things related to combat. The anti-Inkling pistols, the Shield, several different Blades, etc. The Dreamsmith was capable of amazing things. It probably came from working with souls. Gave a lot of flexibility. It was clear he still had tremendous skill though.

He stopped twisting his pen, and looked down at the paper in front of him. He really needed to fill out this paperwork. There was much more paperwork from being a being of Order than there was from being one of Chaos. But there were more important things to do.

He pushed that paper aside, and pulled up his newly acquired form, writing in the answers to each of the prompts listed.

Name: Platypus

Race: Luxsprite, formerly a Narrator, possibly changing at some point

Occupation: Professional hero and adventurer

Request: One or two Enullers to help with a quest

Reason for Request: Possible destruction of the Thread if things went poorly on the quest

Reason Enullers are Requested: Possible (perhaps probable) need for Nullification of certain types of energy for a time

Signature:

As he finished writing, he nearly signed the bottom, before remembering the Dreamsmith's warning. It seemed he would need to present this to the Enullers in person. Standing up, he quickly traveled to the edge of the thread, standing before the Wall.

Shoe waved to her.

“You okay?” Beosta asked, concerned.

¨You know,¨ she said, ¨you really dont have to be so nice all the time. it gets a little boring, doesn´t it?¨

Beosta rolled her eyes. Scudding good thing he’s nice.

Why did you throw your shoe? You already threw your knife.

“Yeah,” Beosta said.

"I don't know, I just wanted to see how the mist would react. I know I shouldn't of, but... I did." said Cricket, shaking his head.

Tam made him a new shoe that matched the one he'd lost perfectly.

"Thanks," he said, putting his shoe on. "Alright, are we just going to wait or what? What's the plan? Send Quagmire in?"

Cricket hesitated, then took off his shoe and hurled this into the mist, trying to provoke a reaction.

The mist continued to act like ordinary mist.

After a few minutes, an Ennuller appeared.

You called? he spoke.

I swear that mist is taunting me.

She blushed, having forgotten he was in her head again. Hopefully we’ll find a doctor or something soon.

"Yes. I seek to turn in a piece of paperwork without a signature. I know that that is the normal procedure, but I have a very good reason, and the reason for my application is urgent. May I come in, or can you send someone out to meet?"

The red potato, having followed the party unnoticed, watched with curiousity to see what would happen to the Bat fellow.

Absolutely nothing happened. While the mist was certainly ominous, it did not seem to be intrinsically dangerous.

Hacob had never tried pain before. It could be good... Nah, he'd let the rabbits have it.

The rabbits quietly communicated with one another in IRSL. [This is quite tasty] one signed. [Yes, very tasty. I wonder how we can get more?] signed another. [It came from the stupid one over there, when I nibbled him.] The rabbit that had chewed on Hacob pointed at him. [We should nibble him more. Maybe it will give us more of the tasty stuff.] The other rabbits all bobbed their heads in assent, then moved towards Hacob with malicious (but still invisible) intent.

by the way, the pen may or may not be capable of filling out paperwork on its own if left unattended.

"What use is there in delaying?" boomed Selppaenip. "We cannot just leave them to be captured!"

"I-well, I guess you're right. I just... don't like being hasty." Subversion summoned her Narrationblade.

The Silent Hero and the Valiant One stopped a dozen paces in front of the Selppaenip. "Come no further!" Shouted the Valiant One. "We do not wish to fight you here."

"There are reasons I do not leave this castle, adventurer. The armor that I wear is not for my protection."

"So you cannot leave? Perhaps, you cannot even interfere with things outside of the unreal realm without danger?" The Brave Adventurer's eyes gleamed. "That is... not expected."

1 hour ago, xinoehp512 said:

Oh dear, thought Selppaenip. He could feel it building, deep within his sinuses.

His scales began to shift from turquoise to a pale orange-red.

I'm going to assume you meant TP

The General rushed towards TP, growing several extra-long limbs that stretched out to grab the Great Wizard.

now that. that is a useful function. All of Platypus' luxsprite paperwork will finally get done.

International Rabbit Sign Language?

Hacob, fortunately, spoke rabbit. And could also feel the tremors in the air as they signed and ground as they approached.

[I can get you more of the tasty things if you help TP and Subversion in their fights.]

Platypus pulled out the pen, holding it gently between two fingers.

The ennuller pulled out a monocle etched with runes and inspected the pen.

I suspect what he meant was that signing a contract with this pen would bind your soul to uphold it. A dangerous thing, indeed. Is the piece of paperwork you are filling out a contract?

TP could not hold it back any longer. He sneezed.

A powerful explosion of air burst forth from every one of his scales, sending every human, rabbit, and ghanderflaffle in the vicinity flying.
