Esmerelda noticed the Narration and squinted off into the shadow beyond the trap. "I don't see it. Are you sure you Narrated it properly?"

"Shoot, did that not work? That's weird. And somewhat disturbing." Bookwyrm looked in the same direction.

"Should one of us go look for it?"

"No, I don't think that's a good id-" Esmerelda was cut off as a giant clawed hand dragged her backwards into the darkness behind them.

"See? Smarter than you thought." Everyone said. They started laughing. "You guys are so dead."

Esmerelda shouted from the darkness, voice punctuated by the ringing of sword against scales. "Bookwyrm you fool! You Narrated it around the wrong corner!"

The Shisi jumps into the fray and chops off the claw holding Esmerelda.

Sadly, it grew back fast enough that there was no effect. Strange! Somebody should get to documenting this species.

Esmerelda shouted, throwing her sword into the beast's eye and slipping free while it roared in agony. "Blast! That regeneration is impossible to get around. We need a new plan if we're going to get the key."

[The Wandering Wizard he/him]

The Shisi, pulls off one of his scales and he taps it, activating it, and throws it in the mouth of the beast.

"You should use dynamite, like I've already told you." Everyone said. "That way, there won't be anything left to regenerate!"

[The Wandering Wizard he/him]

The monster explodes and Shisi grins.

[NameIess]

The beast regenerated in an instant immediately turned all twenty-seven of its eyes on to the Shisi, licking its lips hungrily.

"Oh. Well, good luck guys." Everyone turns around to leave.

The beast stuffs Shisi and Everyone in it's mouth.

Esmerelda watched, somewhere between horror and awe as the beast alternated between exploding and being consumed in darkness.

Everyone was not very happy with this, so they decided to teleport out, like the very smart being they were.

Shisi began to unravel the spell.

Esmerelda considered attempting to hack the beast to death, but decided against it.

Shisi unraveled the first spell of teleportation and started unraveling the other spells.

[NameIess]

As it turned out, one of those spells happened to be a regeneration spell, so the monster finally stayed exploded.

[The Bookwyrm he/him]

Bookwyrm, who had temporarily been unable to act due to a fluctuation in TLT's fabric, came back.

He walked over to the exploded corpse of the monster.

"I'm sorry, Esmerelda," he said. "I'm not sure how that happened...But it looks like you managed to solve the problem." Bookwyrm walked over and found a key among the monster bits. He picked it up and tossed it to Esmerelda.

Shisi pulls himself out of the wreckage, considerably smaller.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY @That1Cellist!!!" Noot shouts randomly.

[That1Cellist he/him]

"Oh yeah, I am here. Maybe I can use my birthday powers to get us out of this place!"

"Use them to solve the puzzle, we have the key, but not a keyhole to put it in." Shisi creates a cocoon of poisonous threads around himself as he waits and heals.
