Eh, the most interesting stuff always happens when stuff goes off the rails.

X's avatar groaned, sitting down with a thump on the ground.

"Wonderful," he said glumly. "Just wonderful."

Y's winds raged furious.

"Come here, traitor!" she shrieked. Dark clouds began to form in the skies ahead. Y lifted into the air on the wind, chasing after I as fast as the winds could carry her.

Schrodinger wondered what direction they were planning to go in, then decided he should probably go and try and find the real Melody. So he started flying above the Hundred-Acre Wood in his biplane.

Fortunately, Y's storm made it relatively easy to follow I.

But I had disappeared with Melody.

X's avatar sat in silence for a moment.

"So," he said. "Iye has Melody. And my power. And she wants Y's power..."

He sighed hollowly. "Anyone else think we're screwed?"

Who's Eep?

Song stood up. "No, we're not screwed, because we're going to get Melody back. We're good at fighting, we've got magic, and we are excellent planners. We can set a trap for Y, get her power, and get Melody back. Come on, we're screwed if we don't do anything.

X's Avatar's phone started ringing, then answered itself.

"I dispute the excellent planning part," Schrodinger's voice sounded from the phone (along with a lot of wind), "but I agree. I've also got the Reality Stone from about 100 pages ago. Maybe we could use that?"

Yes, that actually happened previously. I'm not sure how much he needs it from being a Narrator, but then again I suppose it made him a Narrator.

"Well, I don't have magic anymore," X's avatar pointed out. "And I doubt Y will willingly relinquish her power for anything."

Nameless stabbed at Y's chest with Shar.

Y skipped backwards, effortlessly dodging the blade.

He sighed. "Do you have any ideas?"

Schrodinger swapped the spatial positions and velocities of Song and one of his Withers.

Song screamed and continued screaming until she noticed that she wasn't flying through the air anymore.

As Melody woke up, she realized that she was moving. Her stomach hurt, and she realized that she was being carried over someone's shoulder. She wondered where she was and who was carrying her, and turned her head to see, but realized that she was blindfolded and it was useless. The person carrying her had noticed her moving and jostled her more. "Stop that," she said. Melody reasoned that the sooner they got there, the sooner she could be set down and hopefully untied, although Y didn't like to untie her, so she stopped moving.

"Stop it!" cried X's avatar with irritation. "Those aren't very helpful ideas."

[Condensation she/her]

"Well, all we need to do to get Y to give up her powers is find something she values, then keep it from her unless she gives us her power. What does Y value?"

X's avatar shook his head. "Nothing. The only thing she wants is to get out of this place."

[Condensation she/her]

"Oh! That's it exactly! If we tell her that if she gives her powers to I, then we'll make I take her out, then of course she'll do it!" Song jumps up and down. "We're coming, Melody!"

Harmony and Counterpoint crowded around Melody

X's avatar sighed. "But she's still going to have my power," he said glumly. "I... don't want to lose that."

"Well, can you send others out if you had both your and Y's power? We could say that Y made it a condition of us getting her power because she didn't want I to have her power."

Melody couldn't tell that Harmony and Counterpoint were gathered around her until the woman carrying her ran into them disgustedly. "Ugh! This is exactly why I want to leave this place! There's always something odd happening!"
