HoidvsVoid Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I looked through the topics and could not find anything on this, so here it is. I am trying to decipher the code of the aons. Is it just random sequences of vowels and consonants. or is there a distinct pattern? (obviously i think there is pattern for this topic). For example, these are aons which have the same letters but rearranged: 1: ATO- north/ TOA- south (Obviously opposites) 2: KAE-east/ AKE-west (Obviously opposites) 3: DIO-immovable/ IDO-forgiving (Not as obvious but one is stubborn and won't budge and the other budges all the time by forgiving) 4: ETO-body/ TEO-royal (Again not as obvious, but one is the physical and is lowly while the other is a concept and is high) 5: DEO-gold/ EDO-protection (Both are similar yet opposites) 6: ENO-water/ EON-willpower (A stretch but one is fluid and has no will to resist the flow and the other is full of will) 7: ATI-hope/ TIA-travel (One is just hoping for action to take place without doing anything and the other works for it) 8: ENA-kindness/ NAE-clarity (One is easy to exploit and the other sees things too clearly to trick) Also: DAO-stability/ DIO-immovable are very similar (as well as DEO-metal or gold). Really only the first two are the standouts. But that got me looking for more. What is the code? Is there a code? 1
BrightVoid he/him Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 North South East and West definitely have a connection, but past that I think it simply comes down to how many 3 letter words with 2 vowels you can come up with. If there IS a code someone can figure out that would be great, but I don't see a way for it to help that much. Maybe you could get more done looking at the irregularities, Eshe, Sheo, and Shao.

I wouldn't say those are irregular. "Sh" is just one sound.
HoidvsVoid Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 If anything AEO-bravery is the irrregularity. 1
Ironeyes Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Wait... Ati means hope? So the shard Ruin was held by a guy named Hope? Wat. 1
HoidvsVoid Posted December 14, 2016 Author Posted December 14, 2016 Apparently. We know that the shard changed ati after he ascended.
WeiryWriter he/him Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 As far as we know there is no connection between Aon Ati and the original Vessel of Ruin. Actually if I remember correctly there is a WoB out there somewhere that explicitly says there is no connection between them. 2

I guess that puts paid to my convoluted theory of common descent from Yolish languages.
