Spoiler

I like that all the threads are finally coming together.
Camp Daenerys: Daenerys (duh), Tyrion, Varys, Theon, Asha (or was it Yara here? I always mix it up)
Dorne (supporting Daenerys): Viper Bastards, Queen of Thorns
King's Landing: Cersei, Jaime... the rest burned
King Of The North: Jon, Sansa, Littlefinger, Davos... we don't have any POVs on the Wall, do we?

Loners: Arya on murdering spree throughout the whole Seven Kingdoms; Bran about to pass through the Wall; the Hound who... I don't even know what he's supposed to do now the Cleganebowl is not only canceled but also pointless; Brianne heading North; (???) Melisandre heading South;

How come Sam is travelling the whole season while variosu characters just teleport wherever they want?

HOW IS ARYA STILL ALIVE. Seriously, I want even some bad explanation. Even something illogical like, 'she drank from the fountain in the House of White and Black', the one which healed her eyes.

I think I've decided that Cersei and Jaime will end up being at odds. I wouldn't even be completely shocked if Jaime kills her eventually (unless Tyrion beats him to it). He's already Kingkiller, why not Queenkiller too?

I agree with Jondesu, Jaime is not going to react nicely to Cerseis idea of solving problems. He won't kill her, but he'll abandon her I think.

Spoiler cut for people who don't like prophecy shenanigans...

Circe's creepy little prophecy does state that she'll be killed by the "valanquar" - literally, "little brother".  She believes this means Tyrion, which is part of why she hates him so much.  But Jaime is a few minutes younger than she is, so it could easily mean him in the end.

The prophecy isn't a spoiler, though. The scene it comes from is in the first episode of season 5, I believe, not just the books. It's also undeniably coming true. There's always some doubt in GoT as to how true supernatural stuff people believe in actually is. But! Maggie the Frog said something about "gold shall be their shrouds," in reference to her children dying. Well, so far--sure--they've been buried in golden shrouds, but the same would be expected of any Lannister.

Spoiler

Tommen was not dressed in a golden shroud, because he was not buried. He did, however, happen to supply his own golden shroud when he dressed in a gold coat that morning.

The second half of this season was fine, but was mostly "meh" to me. A lot of it seemed to be mere "wish fulfillment".

Spoiler

Bolton being defeated and eaten by dogs, Arya killing a Frey, Daeynerys sailing away, etc. It just lacked any sort of punch for me.

Cersei's power grab was pretty neat, and was the highlight of the second half.

I am not a fan of prophecies in stories. It usually ends up one of two ways : turns out they were true or they are self fulfilling. Yawn.

I think we can stick this one into the "self fulfilling" basket.

Well, with prophecies there is not that many other options... we have true, self fullfiling and wrong. Maybe also partially correct, but that may be just coincidence.

Spoiler

When the maid turned out to be Arya, I immediately went back to how she poured Jaimie wine... but if he were to drop dead from poison, he would already do so.

OK, I realize that this is a year old and I am behind the times, but...rr...mmf...ailfff...  No.  Sorry.  I don't have any forum-compatible words for my reaction to this.

Dang, did they?  This isn't the version that hit my FB feed; I couldn't figure out how to link it here.  I just did a search through YouTube, but didn't check the length.

My parents are watching season's finale right now. As Cersei watches the Baelor sept entering the stratosphere my mother comments "So it's just her and Tommen now, huh?"... I managed not to burst into laughter.

Imagine their surprise when Tommen steps out to make his final king's landing.

Don't need to, I was still there. They went "I didn't expect that".

BTW, that whole sequence is a masterpiece.

It was a bit of a shock, but makes sense in hindsight.  He's put all of his eggs into one basket, and his mother had just burned that basket to the ground.  Along with his wife.  I think if Cersei had been able to disassociate herself from her blind hatred for long enough to save Margaery, Tommen would have had something to live for.

I'm wondering how vastly dif Tommen will be in bk. He's like 7 so show aged him up a few yrs for sex to be interesting to him with Mar. I doubt he kills himself in bk. It's going to be great IFFFFF we can ever get another bk.

Life sucks and then you die? Time heals all wounds? Some other nonsense phrase that doesn't help?

In all seriousness, (without spoilers) Just push forward, it is worth it. Some extremely satisfying things happen as a result.

To be honest I just thought "Well, that was definitely graphic" and then just played the next episode. :P But I've read the books, so I knew the Red Wedding happened.
