I don't know if this has been discussed but did adonalsium splinter into 16 shards of equal investiture? or with varying levels of investiture more like a asymmetrical splinter?

As far as I am aware we don't know the nature of Adonalsium's shattering. My personal thoughts are equal amounts of investiture in each shard, but there is no solid evidence for that.

It was in the forum Q&A:

Sweetness: 2. Just after the Shattering (but before they started created humans or something), did all Shards have roughly the same amount of raw power?

BS: Yes. Good question.

On a related note, it looks like back in May there was a discussion here about whether all the Shards were equal across the 3 Realms, or if some were more powerful in one or the other, but it doesn't look like they made any solid conclusions.

So the splintering was clean and did not have any "shard wastage"? If they did have "shard wastes" or tiny splinters no matter how small they may be compared to the 16 shards, then they will still have enough investiture to influence a single person or making or becoming an artefact? Something like moon sceptre? roughly same amount of power doesn't mean clean splinters.

There is something referred to as "The God Beyond" that might fit the category of extra Investiture left over. On a similar note, Lightweaving was a pre-Shattering magic so whatever powers it now is likely the raw Investiture, sans any Shardic influence. Or perhaps it's powered by whatever Shard is closest... hrm. Not sure about that.

I do not believe that the flute is related to Lightweaving, but Lightweaving is said to be an ability that certain Orders of the Knights Radiant can use. Also, other people from Hoid's homeworld, Yolen, can likely use Lightweaving.
