ALL ABOARD THE BANDWAGON!

Β

Alright. Everyone else was doing it, so I figured, why not? I like questions. So have at it. Ask me anything you want, and I will answer. Probably.

Β

Β

No questions about my life before 8th grade though, kay?

Do you ever ski?

Β

Despite living in Utah, where there are innumerable opportunities and resorts, not to mention (usually) plenty of snow, nope. Never have.

Have you ever been to Park City, and if so, does it deserve to be anyone's favorite city in the world? (My parents love Park City, but I've never been, and I'm curious as to why they love it so much.)

Β

Park City? I've been to a couple of family reunions in a lodge near there. Parley's Canyon was fun to drive, though... Anyways, haven't spent much time in the actual city. Though it does seem nice. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Utah at least once.

Β

Now, if it was Provo you were asking about... nowΒ thatΒ place is awesome. ;)Β

Provo? Blaaaarrrrrghhhhh. We stayed there for an afternoon and a night while moving to Arizona, and I was not impressed. Maybe one visit (and a visit passing through at that) wasn't enough to gain an impression, but I was not a fan. :PΒ

:oΒ What about it put you off? Have you ever been to Salt Lake City?

The scrubby little plants that reminded me of a Washington town I was grateful to escape? The heat? The confusing roadways? I don't know; I guess most of Utah and Arizona just aren't for me. :PΒ

Β

If I have, I was too young to really remember it. Either that, or it didn't leave much of an impression; I remember the trip my family and I made to Yellowstone National Park when I was four pretty well.Β

Β

Yeah, it can get pretty hot here... But I did grow up here, so maybe that's why I love it so much. Oddly enough, Washington sounds like my idea of Paradise. Raaaiiiin.

Β

But anyways. :) Any other questions?

So long as you stay away from Central Washington. Western Washingtonβ€”around Seattle, Olympia, Snohomishβ€”is where you'll see a lot of rain, and Eastern Washingtonβ€”Spokane and Cheneyβ€”gets a good amount of rain, a lot of snow, and all four seasonsβ€”but Central Washington is just a desert. Hot summers, cold winters, not a lot of precipitation….there's a maximum-security prison there because any escapees are going to have aΒ veryΒ terrible time trying to find water.Β

Β

Um….if you could visit any one city for a week, where would you go?Β

Posted

Any city... I've already been to London, so let's say Rome. Honestly, thought, I don't really know.

Can you give an example of one of the random thoughts your member title boasts of?

Β

It's referring less to concrete "random" thoughts (like I don't suddenly, in the middle of dinner, wonder why the sun isn't bright green) and more to the fact that I am more or less the King of Non Sequitur. I'll be having a conversation, and one phrase will remind me of something completely unrelated, for example a funny picture I saw recently or an experience I had like two years ago. My conversations wander more than a drunk quail.

Β

EDIT: But really random things do occur to me. For example, for no apparent reason, I texted my cousin to ask hisΒ "opinion on the life cycle of cheese" at 12 am.Β

Β

Β

Why not Swiftslow?

Β

Because Slowswift is an character from Mistborn, and that's what Brandon Decided to name him. Also it sounds better in my opinion. :)

What'sΒ yourΒ opinion on the life cycle of cheese?Β

What'sΒ yourΒ opinion on the life cycle of cheese?Β

Β

I think that cheese needs to age properly to get really good (there are exceptions of course, but then, taste is relative), but taking it to the point where there is actual mold is going a littleΒ too far in my opinion.

Who do you like more: Lopen or Lift? And if you can choose between the two, how?

Β

Lopen is great; IΒ loveΒ his special brand of crazy. And Lift is just Awesome (and so are the Edgedancers). Reeeaaaalllly hard to choose. This will require much thought on my part. I'll get back to you.

Β

And in response to theΒ how could you choose between the twoΒ part of your question, art (and characters contained in said art) is entirely subjective. What one person hates, the other loves. For example, IΒ lovedΒ Shallan in WoK (I get that she's naive and stupid at times, opinion still stands) andΒ adoredΒ her in WoR. I was shocked to find that there were people who disliked her.

Can you juggle? What is the universal gravitational constant, and why do I need to understand Riemann tensors in order to get general relativity? Do you normally touch-type? Do you eat chocolate on a schedule? For how many days of the week do you exercise? Should I do an AMA?

No,

Β

What???

Β

Yes.

Β

Nope.

Β

Um... none?Β

I grew up here too and have never lived outside of Utah, but I always thought it was pretty, especially in the canyons. But, now that I've driven all the way to Vermont and back, I'm not so sure anymore. Utah's better than Wyoming, but I loooove the trees in Vermont.Β

Canyons are the best part!

How do you get so many replies to your AMA?

More seriously (though the above was kind of serious) have you read any Shakespeare? What do you think about it? I think it's fabulous. Yes, I know I overuse fabulous, but it's such a good word...

I have a lot of replies??? What??? Loot at Quiver's if you want a lot of responses. Not mine...

Β

Yes... I read Twelfth Night a while ago. I loved it (in fact, I have a little pocket edition I got at Stratford-on-Avon last year), in fact it's probably my favorite, as it was what introduced me to the Bard. I've seen a lot more Shakespeare than I've read (which is kind of the point right? They're plays). I've seen a performance of Twelfth Night by my cousin and while in England I saw Richard III starring Martin Freeman and Julius Caesar at the Globe. And I've seen a few others on DVD.

Β

So yeah. Shakespeare is fabulous. :)

You have two full pages! I'm so jealous.

Anyhow. Do you have any siblings? Older, younger or both?

Β

Yeah, well. I like Q&A's, so maybe that's why two pages seems so measly to me.

Β

Yes, I do! One younger sister, who quite frankly annoys the heck out of me a lot of the time. But, ya know, that's what younger siblings are for...Β  <_<
