Come on Lark! You like Who judging by your Tumblr!  :P

Seriously though, how does she look anything like Mr. Radcliffe and Ford morphed together?

The closest I've got to a mix of Harry and Jones.

You have failed this forum.

You realize that this sort of talk only encourages him, right?

Clearly, to stop Thirdgen, I must become someone else.

I must become something else.

So apparently someone snapped this picture outside a bar where they worked.

There are only so many reasons the Joker could be jumpstarting someone's car, and not many of them are good.

Eating McDonalds in the SLC airport. All of the time stamps on the posts here are still in AZ time, but my phone automatically switched to UT time when I landed.

This is really throwing me off.

Yay! You're in Utah! Enjoy! :D

(I get irrationally happy when people visit my state, if you hadn't noticed...)

Not for long. :P I'm just waiting to board my connecting flight to Portland for a friend's wedding.

Though I'm still waiting to hear back on that job with the SLC library.

Ah. I see. :P

Hopefully these employers can see quality when it's in front of them.

Thanks. :) There wasn't an experience requirement on the posting, but they might go with someone who has worked in libraries longer than I have. Of course, I'm hoping they choose the "young adult who knows all the cool teen stuff" vibe that I project.

They'd better. I think you could convert many a teen to the Sanderfan cause.

It's my favourite teen dystopia. Particularly how everything is resolved particularly the love triangle, but also that the characters and the readers are treated as intelligent human beings.

Now I'm very interested. I mean, I liked Hunger Games well enough, but that moment in the third book when Katniss takes a moment to explain to the reader exactly what "The Hanging Tree" means was a bit much.

I loved the first book, second was okay, 3rd I couldn't stand. Also between hunger games and divergent (so I've heard - I couldn't make myself read the third) everyone dies in the end. EVERYONE. And just, no. It's like the author goes "I couldn't be bothered resolving anything. Let's just make the fangirls all emotional and kill them all."

Edit: re Partials - for a start a large part of the plot is based on biology (virology?) and there's real science and its awesome.

Personally, I tried to read "Partials" a couple of times and failed each time. Not really my cup of hot cocoa. I did thoroughly enjoy "I am Not a Serial Killer". Anyone here read "A Night of Blacker Darkness"?
