I’m not sure how the logistics of this would work, plotwise and stuff like that (maybe we could come up with stuff on the fly) but I felt like it could be interesting to have a RP where we play as figures from Greek Mythology - not like a self insert or creating characters, but actual mythological figures.

Preferably, if people are interested, I’d like to have everyone play someone they feel some form of connection to, for whatever reason. Like, I would do either Calypso or Artemis.

It can be a hero, god, monster, good or bad. And for figures like Calypso where they have, like, one spot they’re tied to or something along those lines, we would find some way to work around that if we end up doing it

Could be interesting if we did like “Greek mytho figures get tossed to modern day"

Not like PJO style but like

Isekai’d and have to figure everything out

How do you do that and not do PJO style?

Like, imagine they’re just chilling in Greece and then they’re suddenly just POOFed into modern day

Like adjusting to tech advancements and stuff like that

I'm guessing I can't be Chaos? Hades and Pan (If not pan, I'll take Hades and Hermes)

I mean you could do Pan if you wanted to, honestly I’m thinking about not putting a cap on a reasonable amount of characters so you could do all three if you want

Not Chaos the other three

Chaos isn't a person, much less a character. They're mentioned twice if I remember right.

What kind of story is this? Is there a classic that we’re using as a backdrop or is it just like… sandbox greek mythology?

Sandbox. Haven’t figured out what we’ll be doing, so I’m open to ideas

Yeah Hermes is said to guide souls to the afterlife. Makes sense in a way, since he’s god of travel and it’s like one final journey

I would be interested in a role like Medea or Circe. Figures with ambiguous divine links but known for their cleverness and skills with the pharmacon.

If this is a modern day setting, I would probably lean to towards Medea since she is further ranging than Circe, who is strongly associated with Aeaea. This also makes @IcedOutPenguin my character's grandfather or maybe great uncle?

So, how does magic work? Medea's deeds are kind of all over the place and she does not have a kind of divine portfolio like a god.
