He did not seem to share her enthusiasm.

"Do you want something to eat? You didn't want the granola bar, but I have some dried fruit. Or do you need another water bottle? I only have one more, but I can always go buy more."

He shook his head. "I need to sleep... but we're going to the Arch."

"Ok." She said. "If you want, I can help you up." She offered.

He unsuccessfully tried to stand on his own. "Okay."

Elsie stood up, and then helped him up while trying to touch him as little as possible. She really didn't want him to be uncomfortable.

"Thank you." He began to walk again, more steadily this time.

"No problem!" She said, walking next to him. "I like being helpful!"

I don't know that there's much more to do now until other people are around to proceed to the Arch

“Ok, cool, we can speed up a little then” he said as he sped up a bit “also I heard the rest of the group talking about going to the arch. Should we try to meet up with them there?”

"Yeah." Harold said. "I have never been to the arch before."

Alrighty, I’ll go ahead and start it.

Jenny looked upwards as they approached the base of the Arch. It was even bigger-seeming up close. Just looking at made her queasy. But she really wanted to see what it was like inside, so she continued on despite her fear. Hopefully there weren’t too many windows inside.

Edgar held her hand tightly, excited. Jenny looked a little nervous, but she seemed to share his enthusiasm too. He held the door for the others as they entered the arch.

"Are you okay, Jenny?" Harold asked. "Or are you just admiring the height?" To be honest, Harold was feeling the same way.

“Umm…”

Jenny craned her neck to look at the top of the Arch again.

”I’m not really admiring the height, just noticing it. I’ll be ok, though. Probably.”

She pointedly kept looking downwards after that as she hurried inside. Things didn’t look as tall on the inside, thankfully.

"I heard that there are windows on the floor at the top, so be careful of that." Harold said, hoping that warning her was the right thing. He was very excited. Now if there weren't that many people...

Jenny nodded.

”This Arch is pretty old, it’s been here for a long time without falling down. It should be fine. Oh gosh, it’s pretty old, that’s not good, though…”

”Thanks for the warning.”

She decided that she’d just keep her eyes shut while they were up there. The temptation to look out the window if they were open would be too strong for her to resist.

“It’ll be ok,” he whispered, letting go of her hand and wrapping his arm around her waist. Gift wrapped around her legs, making them feel more secure.
