“Yeah, I think you can. But it’s ok.”

“…I kinda want to go in it, now. Maybe I can just close my eyes if I get too high up.”

Jenny looked at the position of the sun, guestimating the time. She accidentally stared at it for a bit too long and blinked the afterimage out of her eyes.

”I think we have a few hours before we need to catch the next train.”

I’m reasonably certain they’re meant to get on another train after this.

I think so too.

“Oh, you do? Let’s do it then! I bet the others would join us too.” He was really excited, the arch was a masterpiece of engineering and architecture.

Jenny looked around at those who hadn’t taken off to go on a run. Hopefully they also wanted to visit the arch. She couldn’t quite read Ed’s expression, but it seemed like something he’d be interested in.

”Do you guys wanna go to the arch?”

Terrance still seemed to barely register his surroundings, though that was likely due to his fatigue.

Jenny wanted to ask if Terrance was ok, but decided not to. He was probably just tired from whatever that almost-death experience had been, but there was also a chance that he was ignoring her. He might just not want to talk to her. She didn’t blame him.

“Ok” he set off at a eight minute mile pace “how far are we running?”

"I was thinking a short 3 or 4 miles. You know, to stretch out our legs." Harold said, starting blockquote widget

"Okay, fine. But we do get to go to the arch, right?" Harold said. "You have to go to the arch when you're in St. Louis."

"Have you been to the arch?" Elsie asked, extremely excited. "What's it like?"

Okay now I'm confused. Harold left om a run and Elsie is asking him a question? Is she on the run?

I thought they hadn't left yet. :P My bad. Ignore the previous post.

Also, thanks for clarifying that.

Terrance stood somewhat near her.

Elsie beamed at him. "The arch is so cool! Have you seen it before? I drove past it once, but I was 7 or 8 or something like that, so I don't remember it well."

"It's so tall!" Elsie said, still extremely enthusiastic. "I didn't go on it, but I remember it. And the shape is like whoosh!" Elsie made an arc with her hands as she explained. "It's really cool. I wonder what it's like on the inside."

Terrance seemed to flinch at something, like an invisible pain.

Ok, I apologize if I keep vanishing. My Wi-Fi keeps going down. Hopefully, I won't have to worry about this next week, but who knows.

"Are you okay?"

"...Sure."

She paused, and squinted her eyes, before they widened. "Oh! Do we need to find a convenient alleyway for you to go to sleep in?"

He frowned. "Last time you ended up having to run back after me."

"What? No!" Elsie started visibly panicking. "Please don't leave."
