Lunamor she/her Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Just now, Weaver of Lights said: “Ok, good.” He seemed extremely relieved. He ran a hand playfully through her hair, letting it rest on her back eventually. He was so lucky. Jenny tried to make a tiny braid in Ed’s hair, but gave up pretty quickly. She could barely make a braid with long hair; his was much too short. She laughed a little at seeing her pitiful attempt. It looked pretty silly on him.

It was good to hear him laugh, so much better than seeing how she had been moments before. That had scared him. He hoped he’d never scare her like that. He also hoped she’d kiss him again.

Jenny determined that a second attempt at a braid would be futile, so she kissed Ed again instead. 11 - 12. She was nearly caught up.

It was a decent braid for his first attempt, though nowhere near Lucid’s skill. Quote I’m just imagining two lovesick teenagers on a train half beneath a table pretending no one can see them. It’s great.

Quote It’s really cute Ed’s braid was better than Jenny’s. Maybe she’d have to ask him for help next time she wanted to braid her hair. She sat still so he could finish, happy at the spontaneous free hairdo.

It wasn’t very good, but it wasn’t exactly bad either. He probably should have asked her before messing with her hair though. “Sorry.”

While it wasn’t perfect, it was likely better than anything she could do. She fixed Ed’s hair, untangling the tiny half-braid.

Jenny grinned, both at the compliment and seeing how pretty Gift looked in her hair. She felt beautiful. She didn’t feel like that too often. She kept her braid hanging over the front of her shoulder. ”You look really great too.” It wasn’t a particularly eloquent compliment, but it was sincere.

He knew she was only saying it because he’d said she was pretty, and he knew he didn’t look good, but he still appreciated it. He was skinny, his hair stuck up in all the wind ways, he was pale rather than the bronze tan his siblings all were, not that there was anything wrong with pale, Jenny pulled it off, but he couldn’t. He wasn’t by any means close to looking really great. “Thanks,” he said halfheartedly. Edited March 31, 2024 by Weaver of Lights

Jenny really did think he was handsome. “I like your eyes.” They were a beautiful amber color. It sounded a bit silly when she said it out loud, but she wanted him to know it.

There was nothing special about his eyes. They looked bad, just like the rest of him.

It wasn’t hard to tell that no part of him was anything close to beautiful or handsome, or even decent. He’d been ridiculed enough times to know, even though he had before too.

Jenny dug through her bag and produced a small hand mirror, then turned Ed’s head back towards her again. She held up the mirror so that his face reflected back at him. ”See?” This would clear up his confusion. It was really obvious that his eyes were pretty if you looked at them.

I like doing that.” She considered prying one of his eyelids open so he’d look, but determined that that was way too much.

That was a much better thing to look at.

Now she’d overthink it next time she looked in the mirror, too.

There had to be something wrong with Ed’s vision. She lowered her head until she was looking at his face again. It made her feel awful that he felt this way, particularly because it was a completely inaccurate view.

The Apollo kids could probably figure something out. They’d have to get this fixed as soon as they returned. Ed couldn’t keep inaccurately thinking that he was ugly.

I’m still pretty sure you’re wrong, though.” Ed didn’t seem to have very good taste. That could explain why he liked how Jenny looked so much.
